Well I used a gravity falls gif for nothing (and a bipper one at that!) none of my comics have updated and this is starting to become hard to look away from like someone about to walk into an electric fence you want to just watch and see how bad its going to be.

On a random ass note brought up a few pages ago. Or maybe one page idk to lazy to double check. I also carry a knife when going out mostly for the off chance a wild animal attacks me or I have to climb up a very steep hill. Now I'm really missing night walks. I should go back to doing those they were nice when some idiot didn't leave their hunting dogs out.

Okay enough rambling for the moment i suppose until I feel the need to poke in again and either contribute or just spin my wheels in the mud.

You just said some women dress for COMPLIMENTS, not CATCALLING. Different thing.

You probably don't hear about women campaigning for men who get the same harassment because they don't know about it. I just said its bad either way.

I certainly don't dress to get men to shout obscene things at me as I walk down the road. Doesn't stop them. And I'm usually only wearing a random T-shirt and jeans.

I've seen plenty of guys walking around in shorts during summer. No one ever tells them they are asking for it.

I'm not afraid to walk down the street at night - but I've been told I should be my entire life.

yes but most women on here are calling simple compliments they receive on the streets as harassment and cat calling. That's the problem, is the line between catcalling and unwanted compliments is blurred at this point.

Point was that when I'm out walking my dog I'm not exactly dressing up for attention. I don't want people to hit on me, I just want to walk my dog in peace.

And yes, I happen to think that I look fine in wellingtons. But I wouldn't call them sexy xD

Yeah some women don't even have to work for it. Rejoice! For me its expensive :-(

Well, tbh they could be complimenting my dog. Because he's the most adorable puppy there ever was!

I'm sure women dress up, wear makeup and have high heels on when they're at home just watching TV by themselves just for the sake of it. They totally don't do that only when they're going out to impress other women and gain attention from the opposite sex....

Tbh, if it wasn't so expected i doubt women would get so made up for anything other then a night out, ive been criticised several times for "not putting enough effort" into my appearance before just because i wasn't wearing make-up while just out shopping

Skirts are not the most effective wear in the summer. If you really want to beat the heat, you'd cover more skin while keeping circulation. Fact is, women wear skirts because our culture tells them they should. And none of that means they need to show ass while they do it. That's a conscious decision they made. Of course if you have an argument one the comfort that a woman gets from high heels and tight clothing, I'm all ears.

Thank you. Saved me from having to respond. Showing disregard for mentally handicapped people while finger wagging with their sense of morality is picture perfect irony.

Are you one of those people who thinks every dude that holds a door open for you is trying to sleep with you? That's the only reason I think someone would compare an honest compliment with absolutely no threatening intention to harassment.

ROFLMAO believe me, the last thing I think is that any man wants to sleep with me.  I own a mirror.  The number of people who have wanted to sleep with me in my life is in the single digits, I am quite certain.  I have still experienced catcalls and harassment.  (Like the man who followed me down multiple streets in Paris saying, "Goldilocks, I will dream of you tonight, I will dream of you tomorrow night!"  Thank the Maker I was in a group, and a fast walker.)

What do you call one man in a group of 3-4 other men saying 'Damn, that girl has an ass' loudly enough for me to hear while I am walking a little distance in front of them?  Is that a nice, safe, flattering compliment that I should be overjoyed to receive?  I am fortunate that nothing else happened on that occasion, but I had exactly zero way of knowing this was the case and that it wouldn't escalate.  I would have been much happier, and felt much safer, had that man opted to keep his "compliment" to himself.

I like skirts, although id prefer to wear shorts when its hot & i usually don't wear the "so short they could be mistaken as belts" type skirts when i do wear them

Where the **** do you live, in a Shakespeare play? Hamlet, go home, pretty sure Ophelia's busy losing her marbles somewhere, bro.

I'm sure there are plenty of guys who wish they could get (quality) girls while sitting on their asses playing WOW or watching sports all day, not bother with exercising as their gut grows bigger by the day and while having a small five figure income job and old used car(or no car), but fortunately they know the world doesn't revolve around them quite like that.

OTOH, us men by and large merely expect a lass to put in the minimal amount of effort for them to look good for a few hours on any given day. Surely, that isn't much to ask for?

^That's for you not living in the US who thought what I said about the job and car thing was bullshit. How does one even get laid without a car... not like they're going anywhere, tbh.

Unless she picks him up all the time... which... lol.

I wouldn't say its bad to want your girl to look nice, is annoying when we're expected to try & look as pretty as possible at all times tho
