The inconsistency is that in game, he dont know he did it, its clear that his writer didnt know about all Knight Commanders agreeing with Lambert.

Meredith was already dead when the Templars started talking red lyrium, he was in charge of them, he allowed them to take red lyrium, how its not a plot hole?

It's inconsistency between mediums. You can say the same thing about all the games that have Alistair as a warden. Or the fact that in books (or comics or whatever) Alistair is using lyrium while in the game he specifically says that he never took the vows. I rather treat games as a separate universe and since the game never touches the subject as far as I'm concerned it never happened.

The Red Lyrium part is in game.

When? I don't remember it. Lambert himself as far as I know is only mentioned in relationship to Cassandra and there might be a little vague dialogue about him with Cole, if I'm not mistaken.

If there is something that the game messes up it is his Knight-Commander status at Winter Palace, since I never sided with Templars in DA2 he should have been announced as Knight-Captain.

The Lambert part is not from the game, but the red templars in Kirkwall is.
Cullen was promoted after he helped stabilize the situation in Kirkwall, Hawke had nothing to do with it.

The books are way better than the comics when it comes to consistency. Asunder is pretty much the only one where you risk having a completely different canon than the books (Wynne has to be alive for the book to be correct). You're missing out on some good stuff!

I'm really drawing blank about him allowing them to take the red lyrium. Without the exact context to judge, all I can say is that he is pretty horrified when you suggest to him that red lyrium can be used, one can possibly assume that he has seen the results of it and is against it (be it because of Meredith, or because of his own actions).  He is not exactly squeaky clean character, even if he has some of the knight in shiny armour attributes .

Maybe when the whole game series is over I'll give it a try.

I'd still say lesbian Inquisitors have it worst, Josie is considered too sweet by many and Sera too annoying or crazy. I wanted to play lesbian dwarf but I guess I have to play bisexual dwarf instead cause I can't stand Sera..

Sounds like nobody got the short end of the stick and those who complain just didn't get what they want

I liked Sera's romance alot but Josephine's F/F romance was disappointing to me with her acting in the typical Bioware "acts straight 95% of the time but makes an exception for a S/S PC" behaviour that they seem to always do for bisexual characters :?

I don't know if that is an accurate conclusion. when you look at the numbers/percentages/etc ...there should be more LI options for straight male inquisitors, doesn't have to be, but there is an argument there.

I'm not complaining anyway, I loved my Josephine romance and my male dwarf is strictly a bachelor.

Perhaps, I'm just thinking there should have been maybe one more LI option for straight male inquisitors .. probably.

Pff, just imagine they got Vivienne as a third option. People would've sh*t themselves yet again, demanging god knows what instead.

Why?

Straight elf females get four choices, straight human females and bisexual everyone get three choices, and straight males and straight females who are not human or elf get two choices.

If you had a choice, which other character would you choose to be romanceable for straight males?  While Vivienne is beautiful and mean and looks far younger than she is, it really wouldn't make sense for her to be a romance option.  Leliana, there's no way that would happen without starting riots.  So another character would need to be written in I guess.

Edit: Actually, I think bisexual elf females got five choices and bisexual human females got four choices.

Well I haven't given it any thought because I liked the romance options personally .... But someone like scout Harding.

Well, everyone can flirt with her.  I have a feeling if she were a bisexual romance option, people would complain about that.

Females having a few more romance options -- ones that actually make sense -- doesn't take anything away from anyone else.  I personally like playing female dwarfs which means I have fewer romance options as well but the fact that that limits my choices on my preferred character doesn't mean that everyone should be available to everyone.

In fact, they tried having Hawke-sexual romance characters in DA2, and there were tons of people who objected to that as well.

Really, as a woman, I remember being happy when I finally had a choice to have a female character to begin with.

Anyway, while I hate playing male characters now, i will roll one to experience Dorian's romance, and Cassandra's as well.  I hear they're both excellent, and it's content I can't enjoy on my cute little dwarf female.  But I'm still free to enjoy it.

They absolutely are, tehehe. I can't really bring myself to complete any of the "straight female" romances because they feel nothing like these two. So I don't understand all the nagging about us females having "omg so many more options" really. Only Solas is interesting, but being so heavily gated... is not cool.

You are deff implying something there, and I'm not going to get into that.

All I'm saying is I can see where some are coming from complaining about the lack of LI for straight male inquisitors...and it's dense of anyone to compare it to the lack of lesbian LI.

No one is currently nagging about females having more options though?

They will be nagging till DA4 comes out.

That's why I said currently. Not the past 60 pages. And I see little to no discussion in other threads about this topic actually, just looked. Who you mean by "they" I don't know either.

There was another just yesterday (I guess), but everyone except for the op had enough and just trolled him. Which is good.

They are all the people who's ranting about how horrible are the female romances and how there should be more since there are more male romances and it's somehow "unfair". Don't pretend you don't know that.

What I'm implying is that I think it's great that there's more inclusion in video games for all players.

Really, I just want well-written romances.  I don't want something that feels tacked on, so if you have fewer choices but they're good choices, that's preferable to having a bunch of shallow choices.

And I'm not sure why you think that pointing out that lesbian and gay people as well as straight women who don't like playing humans or elves have the same number of choices as straight men is dense.  I guess I just am coming at it from an entirely different point of view.

Just like how many female gamers complained for months after mass effect 3 about the LI options. Yes, it's a normal reaction to people who feel like they got the short end of the stick.
And by "they"you mean men, you can say that.
Point is, no one was complaining about the amount of LI for women currently on this thread. So what was the point of saying that?
