As Mihura pointed out, the acronym is shorthand. The real thing is like ten letters long, so for ease of use it sticks with LGBT or LGBT+.

Dragon age at this point is expected to have these type of romances, so I think it's a tad different from those said games. I just simply disagree.
If DA4 were to come out with no gay or lesbian romances, I believe it would hurt the profits and rub the the dragon age fan base the wrong way. It's just my opinion though.

Only 6% to 9% human population is homosexual and most of them are females, (male homosexuals are less than 2%) so one wonders why there is so much focus on homosexuality in this game.
Is it just to entertain only the 6% of human population or there is something more to it?

Chill out, man. First, even assuming your ratios are correct, where exactly is this "focus on homosexuality" in this game? I played it, and the focus in MY game, even with me playing the Dorian romance, was on killing demons, closing rifts, and stopping a demonic freakshow from destroying the world.
The existence of a couple of M/M romance options does not equal "so much focus." Please obtain a sense of perspective.
Of course, that reply assumes you're being honest, and I doubt that. You know there isn't a focus, but your political agenda forces you to manufacture outrage because you think it will put bisexual and gay men in our place. Whatever, man.

This is sort of like a sandwich of terrible thoughts. On top, you have a reference to a demographic's status as a minority as if this should somehow determine whether or not content is made to include them (aside from the inherent dubiousness of the various percentages thrown about on the internet), followed by the implication that any discussion on homosexuality, benign or not is considered a ban-worthy offense, then followed by a comment on human extinction.
It's that last part that makes me laugh, along with his assumption that just having gay characters in a game will make someone gay. Paranoia is rampant, I guess.

I feel like this is a different argument though. I agree that a DA game without LGBT content would alienate LGBT fans and lose sales. Just like it would if it didn't have straight people. But that doesn't mean that the writers are bein forced to include it. They want to include it so they do. I think there is an implication you are making in your argument that seems like a stretch. That's my point.

Personally, I don't mind if everyone is Bi.
You romance them if you want, you don't if you want. There's a big heart that kind of clues the player in as to whether they would be stepping into territory they'd rather not tread.
I really don't understand the uproar.
I've been playing RPGs since the early 80's (yes... they had them... although the one's I started on were text-based, available on the commodore vic 20 & 64). I love the added romances, it adds a depth to gameplay that has always been missing for me, heretofore.
The introduction of gay romance possibilities is what will make me choose a Bioware game over any other developer right now.
From a documentary I watched about it, they certainly do. They go to parades and everything. They take a lot of flak from the LGBT community as well.
