Now I want to buy a 3DS so I can play Rune Factory 4. I use to look at videos on Youtube, but they were all in Japanese. I could never see how the children worked in that game, but I still believe that A Wonderful Life/Another Wonderful Life had the best way of handling the children with the toddler growing up to be an adult.
Limited romance options

The parenthood aspect is the only thing I disliked about Rune Factory 4, but that has as much to do with me not wanting to be a mother in my videogames at all as it does with the way they handled it.

How's it handled? I really didn't care much about the childhood after A Wonderful life, because the kids really didn't do anything. They stay inside the house all day, and have one or two repeated lines. (Rune Factory 3). Rune Factory 2 was a lot better, though.

Less actual parenting really and more do my chores but I do really enjoy that they interact with the other kids in town though you have to trigger it to actually see any of it

Basically, your love interest tells you that they want a child. You can say no, but all it does is defer the question for a set number of in game days. They'll keep asking until you agree to become a parent. :/

Hmm the only one I can think of of Save the Homeland I haven't gotten all the endings and probably wont but I don't recall any marriage in that game for your character at least. Though I'm sure theres one I'm unaware of ![]()

i like how the conversation turned to harvest moon while i was at work xD
anyway, i don't know if she counts as a typical warrior, but she fights? 8D

spoiler tagged cos it might be nsfw (panty shot):
@panda: it's not that i don't like saber, i actually do, but i'd like her more if she wasn't plastered over almost everything type moon xD

Parenthood (if you're into it) is actually handled quite well. Your kid actually feels like a character rather than a piece of furniture that constantly repeats the same few lines. They have different dialogue every day, just like all the other characters, and they have a lot of scenes with both of their parents, as well as other NPCs. You can only have one, which makes them feel unique. How's it handled? I really didn't care much about the childhood after A Wonderful life, because the kids really didn't do anything. You guys, don't tarnish the good name of this thread with all this harvest moon and rune factory jumbo.
Anything is better than the sexism or not enough straight romances arguments I've seen in this thread.

Letting allistar die in the fade? Type 2 diabetes? France? "Anything is better" really? I believe not.Anything is better than the sexism or not enough straight romances arguments I've seen in this thread.
Plus I haven't seen any sexism.

Wonderful Life was my very first game of the series. Karen is pretty awesome even if she is kind of a drunk
(maybe not a drunk but you know what I mean)

Harvest Moon used to be my favorite game, though I started with the N64. I believe I constantly married Karen, because troubled but cute was totally my thing, but I had a crush on Gray. Planting the flowers for Popuri and his awkward crush thing was just so sweet.
Rune Factory, I need to get 4... haven't touched the others due to no playing gals, for the most part.
As for Fire Emblem, I've been playing them forever, it feels like. Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem (a remake of the second Marth game) had a creatable protagonist, and came out in 2010 (never made it to English shores, but there's a fan translation), and Fire Emblem the Blazing Sword (2003) had a creatable protagonist (though they did really absolutely nothing). Awakening's 'Robin' was the only one who really had a personality.
However! Fire Emblem If/The Latest... if you watch the trailer and keep close watch of the names, 'Kamui' is seen as both male and female with different hairstyles. So it's likely we'll have a creatable avatar once again, and looking at the dialog, it looks like we'll be playing one of the Lord's instead of the token adviser this time. Ooo, shiny...
Oh, right, blah blah blah, limited romance. Eh. It all depends on what you like. Personally, of the companions, Dorian and Cassandra are the ones that I adore the most... so for me, the guys got lucky this time. But what do I know, I've romanced Anders multiple times, which may mean I'm crazy.

2. Oh, point made then.

In Tides of Destiny you can kind of play as a lady after beating the main story (yes there are story reasons for this too) which the main story can be pretty short I usually beat in in less than an in game year. Though playing as a lady off the bat in a RF game would be nice.

Dragon age at this point is expected to have these type of romances, so I think it's a tad different from those said games. I just simply disagree.
If DA4 were to come out with no gay or lesbian romances, I believe it would hurt the profits and rub the the dragon age fan base the wrong way. It's just my opinion though.
Whether it would or wouldn't was not what you said that I was responding to, which was this:
Now if this happens, what do you think happens to the writers. Do they keep their jobs or does EA put the crackdown on them? The answer is obvious the writers would be fired ... This isn't speculation it's common sense.
The point stands: EA does not fire writers for failing to include gay or lesbian romances. They never have before, and it is therefore not obvious common sense to assume that they would now. Whether you feel that BioWare's other RPG games are different or not doesn't change that you are, indeed, speculating.
