You thought they were bad. DA2 had problems, but actually had quite an innovative storytelling mechanic in the unreliable narrator, ME 3 was amazingly detailed, they painted all the damn corners. Yes, the ending was a problem, one that they did attempt to fix, but at the same time they did try to close it with something else rather than a boss fight, which I think is pretty damn cool.
As for DAI, that's just completely subjective, though it's ironic you complain since Bioware listened to the fans' complaints about DA2 and did as they were asked, within how the DA team thought it should go.
Here's the thing. Earlier this year on a lark (since I just started playing in a Star Wars Table Top game), I downloaded and played KOTR. I had never played it or KOTR2 ever before. As such I got to compare it side by side with playing DA2, ME3, and now DAI, and frankly I was shocked and not in a good way.
This isn't "nostalgia talking" either. I never played KOTR until this year, but the quality of the writing and the overall story (and my investment in it) as well as REPLAYABILITY was vastly superior in a game that was made more than a decade ago.
It's a worrisome trend because KOTR was arguably better than DAO and I loved DAO.
