Those never bugged me. But the 46th guard who used to be an adventurer and/or made a comment about my sweet roll incited a murder spree the likes of which had never been seen.
Guard dialogue overhaul will fix that. If you play PC

Yes, did someone call me?
Awww do we not like Sera? Yea those opinionated, strong willed, uppity, sexually secure women sure are a pain in the arse. What was BW thinking having such a character in the game?
Argh can everyone stop doing this thing where if someone doesn't like a character you like you try and make it sound like it is because of bigoted reasons? There are reasons to not like Sera that have nothing to do with what you listed.

Why? It's totally reasonable to demand that your partner abandon their dumb religious beliefs. After all, tolerance is a strictly one-way street.

=( I'm actually at mod cap.
Not gonna lie.. my first thought when I saw this topic was "Oh! You mean the BSN?"
Honestly based on the DA:I characters and what I've heard of their dialogue, I'd say probably around half of them.
Wynne's dialogue with Alistair about her son vaguely hints at some kind of contraception existing. I think that the sizes of the families we see mean that there has to be some kind of widely available birth control. (There could also be massive infant and child mortality, but we've seen zero evidence of that so far.) Herbal? Magical? Who knows?
Unless everyone is just not having much PIV sex? There's no evidence that other types are stigmatised the way they were in Medieval Europe. And the withdrawal method is surprisingly effective at delaying pregnancy and limiting family size on a population-wide level. (There are some really interesting demographic studies of 18th century France.)
Witherstalk. Good thing I'd already started growing some in the Skyhold gardens.

Ahh. Just shoot em in the face with an arrow then. XD
To put another puzzle out about the OP (and because Emprise du Lion gives me the heebie-jeebies so I smack the red templars around and get out so this quest is still on my to-do list.. xD ), is it possible to not get the line about the virgins? Because if it's related to Cammen...poor, poor Cammen. Not even the 'choice spirit' thinks much of him, possibly.
I brought Gheyna and Cammen together and still got the comment; I didn't have Cole in my party either. I always assumed he was talking about himself ![]()

Wasn't the Cole who was killed like 15 years old or something? So, yea, I'd sort of hope he was a virgin.

20 was the age Evangeline in Asunder guessed he was.
He could be younger but look older, perhaps.
Anyway the Cole we have following us in game, I think, is definately a virgin.
It would be difficult to convince me in a world full of open sexuality and mischief that there would be any virgin adults. Even the divine herself isn't one, looking at the choices available. I bet Andraste wasn't even one.
Andraste was indeed not a virgin, she had a daughter named Vivial.
I think what that is is a joke about Camnen& Ghena (whatever their names are). If you don't hook them up, Camen is the gross virgin that you wouldn't want. There is a question in the keep that asks if you get them together.
There is some debate about Cullen's Hx, perhaps this settles it?
I laughed when I saw that option, as both a female player and playing a femquisitor. All I could think was, "Why would I want a virgin?"
I really don't see how/why virgins are supposed to be gross. ![]()
When picking that option I always expected that I would be transferred into the multiplayer game instead...

I just remember some comment where one of the writers said that operationally Cole had a mind that was more or less that of a teen. I think it was in reference to somebody wanting to romance him. Unfortunately, I can't remember the specifics.
It was unclear if this was because Cole the person was that young and the spirit just imprinted off of him, or if the general naivete of the spirit means it may as well be like a teenager.

Where did I say gross?
Maybe Cory is the virgin.
Josephine , If she wasn't a virgin i'd be surprised.
She does woman and man, no way Jose. Not a chance. Not even if she was sent to girls only private schools.

Oh god, it started up again.
She's not a psycho, she's impulsive. She doesn't go around boiling bunnies or nugs, whatever. Try to get to know her better. It will be worthwhile.
Have you ever met a mentally healthy person who built sentences like Sera?
Yes.
I don't dislike Sera (or any other DAI character) but I think her intelligence is as low as her self discipline.
And yet for some characters their intuition or ability to understand people is the point of concern.
