Yeah but her voice is so sexy. Who was her VA? Feel like I have heard it somewhere.
Skyrim Serana.

Yea I'm pretty sure both parties in this case need to move on. I didn't find anything that irritating about Bianca. How is she not letting Varric let go? 2 whole games and Varric has had plenty of freedom to do what he wants... Seems like he may be the one who can't move on.

Isn't fifteen years how long they've been carrying on their affair? Not how long it's been since they've seen each other? They write letters and meet up occasionally.I also recall something that they've been keeping in contact trough writing they just didn't see each other for 15 years.

For a character so important to Varric's story, I felt her appearance came a bit out of the blue. She just sort of suddenly appeared one day and invited us on an adventure. Then we find out that she was partly responsible for the spread of red lyrium - an act with catastrophic consequences - and then has the gall to threaten the Inquisitor if she put Varric in danger. Aside from being hypocritical given her own actions, the threat seemed wholly unnecessary given that I'd actually sympathised with her and encouraged Varric to forgive her.
I must also admit that this was one of those rare cases where a character's voice actor put me off. As soon as she started speaking I had flashbacks to '"It's not as shiny as I expected" Serana' from Skyrim.
At any rate, it was interesting meeting her, given her lasting impact on Varric, although I do wish I'd have been able to experience this with Hawke instead.

Skyrim Serana.
Aha! That's why she sounded so familiar. I didn't look her up.
The only problem I had with Bianca was her final threat to the Inquisitor. I wanted an option to say "Look, toots, you screwed up here and you're threatening ME? You're lucky I don't drag you in chains back to Skyhold right now."
And as stated above, yeah, especially since I sympathized with her because her intentions seemed good (the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, right? LOL). I probably won't do that on further playthroughs. I just would have liked an option to tell her to watch herself after that.

B!tch is married! Lusting and claiming another is just being selfish b!tch.
It is not just threat is her entire character that I can't like. She is one of these folks that $hit things really bad and instead of really correcting their wrongs they justify themselves to the end not to mention that "correcting" their wrongs includes lies and using others to do your dirty work for you.
an arranged marriage is quite different from marriages as we know them in the west.

I didn't appreciate that little threat there at the end either. And I sure as hell did not take it as a joke. She meant that shyte. She wasn't joking.
But what grated the most was that my PC could not respond to that shyte. Irl I would have something to say to that.
Being forced to be Silent is frustrating as hell.

So if I'm in arranged marriage I'm completely allowed to go chasing after my ex and it's completely acceptable behavior? Cool, then when I get married I will make sure it is "arranged marriage" and if my husband has problems with me chasing my ex and still claiming my ex I will say "It is arranged marriage it is completely acceptable for me to chase after another.".Great logic ![]()

I can't help feeling a little sorry for Bianca's husband, if he's a decent person.
In comic "married to another" part was never mentioned in first place...in fact whole comic went with plot that Varric left Bianca and that she most likely died...they changed Bianca and whole plot in game a lot and to the worst!

In a traditionally arranged marriage you are expected to practice sexual fidelity and to do your duty. Feelings of love don't factor into it. It is an economic and procreative transaction, nothing more. There is a long tradition of people in such marriages pining for other, chaste, true-love, that can never be. there is a large body of literature devoted to such a thing.
How an arranged marriage between dwarves in thedas is, no idea. I just think its funny how self-righteous and offended people get at npc dialogue. makes me think Bioware is doing something right there.

the comic just hinted that something happen that day Varric regretted. nothing hinted she died. That's an assumption.
