Just regarding the 'arranged marriage' bit -
What really interests me is the comment that Varric makes about Bianca's marriage - that he heard it was lovely, 'the one she showed up to'. Which implies that Bianca and Varric were originally planning on eloping. So, Bianca being in an 'arranged marriage' doesn't make me feel bad for her. She chose to go with the arranged marriage - maybe chose to make her family happy; not be on the outs with the guilds or whatever...but it was her choice.
I could care less about Bianca cheating on her husband with Varric, the outrage some people show over that is rather hilarious, to be honest. As hilarious as the outrage over Vivienne being a man's mistress. My problem with Bianca stems from her letting out the secret to red lyrium (admittedly with good intentions) then having the nerve to threaten the Inquisitor if Varric gets hurt, especially after the Inquisitor encourages Varric to forgive her.
I can never resist: "Oh for pity's sake. Will you two just get a room."
In comic first time I saw her I didn't had any proper opinion over her since she appeared as quickly as she did disappear but in game...she really pi$$es me off to the point in which Goldanna seems like mother Hen compared to her!
Reasons? Well here are few:
-She messes things up and yet there is no "sorry" or whatsoever...instead she uses "Anders card" in here which means that instead of accepting her wrongs she is trying to justify them so you gotta understand her and you better don't dare to judge her...someone really needs to make her Paragon and fast because she is so "flawless".
-She gives you threat in end for no good reason! I can understand that she has feelings for Varric and doesn't want him dead but was that threat for no reason really necessary in here that she will feed me my eyeballs if Varric dies? And worst part is you can't reply to b!tch to go to hell, instead Inquisitor is silent.Sorry but if irl someone told me for no good reason that they will feed me my eyeballs I would reply to that, because that threat isn't "cute" it is not necessary and it makes you wanting to punch that person in their face and feed them their tongue.
-Worst part in here...if she and Varric were together I wouldn't mind Varric not being LI but guess what's worst part in here is...she is MARRIED to another MAN while Varric SUFFERS and is alone in moment of what they once HAD! Nice!So you are telling me that reason why Varric is not LI because he needs to suffer over his ex that is married to another man?Great! This here is even better "logic" then why is Leliana alive despite everything.
So BW can Bianca and Corypheus switch places in here because unlike Corypheus I actually have plenty of reasons to want to kill Bianca.
...Goldanna seems like mother Hen compared to her!...
Although I wouldn't go so far as to say that Goldanna is that much nicer than her, it did surprise me how overall rude Bianka was, not only to the Inquisitor but to Varric to.
Yeah.... I love dwarves.... except for Bianca.
I hate Bianca.
XD
Now I want to see a poll.
I wasn't impressed with her. I wanted to throw her out an airlock and shake Varric shouting "Snap out of it, move on!"
Sadly no airlocks in Thedas - yet...dumping her into a body of liquid (must not necessarily be water...thought that's more common than most other liquids ^^) with weights on her feet would be welcome, too ![]()
greetings LAX
Harding or Dagna. We got enough female dwarves Varric. Bianca is a lost cause.
He better stay away from Dagna. Cute and maybe slightly crazy, thats my type of woman. Sadly.
Sheesh, its amazing how many people are so butthurt about Bianca's threat. The threat wasn't even meant to be taken seriously so chill out. Bianca is still a lot more charming and interesting than Vivienne and Sera who are the two companions who can talk down on you but you can't react back, at least in a satisfying way.

Really? Cause with the threat of her family sending assassins after Varric if they hear he got close to her again, that doesn't leave room for much choice.
I liked Bianca at first; then she admitted that she was the reason that the red lyrium was found. That was the first step onto my **** list. She didn't even really seem sorry for it? Like a dog doesn't really feel sorry when you yell at it for pooping on the rug; any response is just of appeasement.
And then she has the nerve to threaten the ONE person in all of Thedas that can fix all the **** going on? Yeah that's smooth.
Also I have a violent reaction to cheating on your significant other so
I did get the impression that this was the straw for Varric, tho. A straw, at least. One that made him kind of go 'well, ****. she betrayed my trust maybe i should get off this train now.'

Actually it's because the only other person for him is Hawke. Kappa.

I read somewhere that Dagna and Sera get together tho if you don't romance her? idk how valid it is but i dig it
I despise the little dorf, and I wish they'd let us use Bianca to shoot Bianca's eyeballs out and mount them to her special door for letting the red lyrium get out. Now that would be a fitting end for that little runt. ![]()
Yeah, I had to question her intelligence when she decided to threaten the Inquisitor after admitting that she's the reason why Cory got the red lyrium. I got to judge a guy for throwing a goat against my castle, why on earth should I just let you walk away after you admit to that AND act like an ******* towards me? The red templars destroyed Haven, are killing people all over southern Thedas and make up the bulk of his army but the person who basically handed Corypheus that weapon isn't even brought in for questioning? Urghh it's so frustrating, it's completely out of character for most of my Inquisitors to let her get away with it!

Bianca is awesome.
Plus if we are going to blame her for helping Corypheus get Red Lyrium, let's also blame Varric since he did much worse. He both brought Red Lyrium to the world and helped release Corypheus.

Difference is that Varric is doing everything he can to fix it. It's the whole reason why he's with the Inquisition. He's well aware of his part in all of it and he's blaming himself. Bianca however shows up, basically says "oops I might have screwed something up, but you'll fix it for me" and then she goes all "lolz I'ma stab you bich if u don't watch out trololol" and waltz right out of the game.

Um, the mission with Bianca is to shut that operation down so she also tries to fix it. I agree that she should have been in more than just that mission to help, but then I wish she was a companion rather than the lying snake that is Varric.
And the threat is her being concerned for the wellbeing of a significant other. I agree it could have been handled better, but that's what it's supposed to be. It's like when Isabela threatens to cut off Hawke's balls if he hurts Merrill or Leliana threatening you if you hurt Josephine.

Well, I sort of agree with the first part. She does try to fix it, but she's lying and trying to hide what she's doing until the last moment. That's not so much accepting responsibility as trying to cover you own ass. But sure, it's an attempt to fix things. And yeah, I would probably have been a lot cooler with the threat if they handled it better. As it is it just comes out of nowhere and she's just super rude. Even if you've been nothing but nice to her, you still get it and you can't respond. What the heck?
I wish we had the option to resolve the mess in a different way. Let her go or bring her in for judgment. Recruit her into the Inquisition or use her to make a deal with the merchants guild. There are so many possibilities, and it saddens me that they went this route. It's frustrating when you see how good it could have been but for some reason (most likely time and resources) that's not what you got.
Basically, I think the biggest problem with Bianca is that there are so many things that rub me the wrong way. The quest is unsatisfactory, she's acting shady, you can't go 10 seconds without her or Varric reminding you of how OMG AWESOME! she is, then she threatens you and you can't do anything about it. The fact that she's also married and is keeping Varric on the side is just the icing on the cake. (Just to be clear, I blame Varric just as much for the last part. He's a big boy and wouldn't be in that mess unless he decided to.)
