Because let's be real, Calpernia is a fantastic character and if Bioware doesn't use her more sometime in the future, I'll be disappointed. Though I suppose there's the possibility of her being dead, I'd love it if she popped up trying to take charge of Tevinter. I'd support her.
How many Calpernia fans we got?

If we visit Tevinter in the next game, I hope we meet her again.
Though she'll probably won't be a big character or show up at all, since there are so many variables for her. ![]()

It's -possible- she survives her fall if you fight her...I guess...

I like her. I prefer her over Samson cuz you can actually talk some sense into Calpernia. And even tho she was working for Cory I thought it was nice of her how she treated the slaves she freed. She's a good person just misled....Samson can go **** himself tho lol. And Dorian actually approves if you let her go in Arbor Wilds or the temple whatever lol.
Ah, and there be the crux of my contention; it's something that I cannot forgive.

She is good looking, I give her that.

But she was misled, lied to. If you talk to her and get her to see the light she leaves Cory and goes to Tevinter to try to save her homeland and Dorian actually agrees with her on that cuz he wants the same thing. I like her she deserves a chance. We gave Samson a anoe chance and looked at how that turned out lol.
Indeed she was and I understand that.
She's too deep in the **** for my taste; she has done too much for the enemy who seeks to destroy the world as we know it.
I can make it quick but that's a head that I have to take on principle alone.
Alas, I wish the character had gotten more screen time.

I let her live but she seemed like an *******.

What do you mean you let her live? Don't you have to fight her anyway?
My memory is a little fuzzy with that particular playthrough, but I just remember her committing suicide. Don't think I was given options as to whether to kill her or let her go.

I liked her but I don't get the Samson hate either. He was used and discarded by Chantry to suffer withdrawal and be pathetic for the rest of his life. He went on "F U world" mode when Corypheus introduced himself.
I bet the fact that Calpernia is better looking plays a role here. ![]()

If you do the temple of dumat mission you uncover Corypheus's plan for her , you could then use that evidence to convince her that she is being used as a result she will help you get the well by delaying Corypheus.

Ah, makes sense.
I was playing on Nightmare and essentially powering through the main quest on that playthrough. No wonder I missed the opportunity. Good to know for future reference, though.

I fully support this thread.
Not just cause I too am a fan, but because given her circumstances whichever way you go, there is a possibility of seeing her pop up again down the line if the devs feel there is enough interest. Yes, there is enough interest. ![]()

Calpernia is fascinating to me. A former slave working to fix her homeland? The very fact that she even likes her homeland considering her enslavement is interesting. I'm sure Fenris would strongly disagree.
Whether as a villain or a more neutral figure like Flemeth, I really hope to see her again. I know Patrick Weekes said they kept the ending ambiguous if you let her go, specifically so they'd have room to bring her back later if they choose to.

And all the guy ever did was deliver love letters for a mage in the Circle. Then they threw him out like yesterday's garbage and the mage in question was made Tranquil. What the hell.

Calpernia is actually the reason why I started alternating my Mage/Templar quests in my playthroughs. I mean, nothing on Samson because he's good too, it's just that Calpernia always felt more interesting to me.
Also it did surprise me that she was a slave yet still cares for Teventier. I just think that alones just lures me to want to know more about her.
Finally, I want to know who voices her?

Both Calpernia and Samson are great characters. I admired Samson's hate towards the chantry, and I loved Calpernia's dream of a renewed Tevinter. Both Characters are admirable in their own way.

Yeah she seems to be incredibly passionate about her homeland despite being a slave. I'd love to see her try and build up Tevinter again
