jesus christ that cc is insane!

good god i'm buying that game.

will probably take ages before it reaches the west though, but by then, I'm sure whatever new version of DA is available, it won't have long hair lol.

I agree. Is quite frustrating having to compromise "horns that I like, or that I don't like all that much but with hair that at least don't make my eyes bleed too much"

The horns that I like most only come with only hairstyle; mohawk. But Mohawk doesn't suit my character : (

Because, as much as people want to deny it, Bioware was rushed.

They were lazy with all the hair in the game. Males and females all have the same hairstyles which is pretty ridiculous.

I wouldn't have mind clipping and/or static hair if it meant we got a few long hairstyles. It's a shame BioWare would rather make 50 SHADES OF BALD than deal with possible clipping issues. Instead of an Inquisitor who'd only look good half the time, we now have one who looks awful all the time.

Many companies hide away when clipping becomes an issue and no one minds it. Saint's Row doesn't have much good hairstyles either, but they do have a few long hair options. In case you want to equip a head item with it, it uses a short-cut model when a head item is worn. It's not ideal, but it's better than cutting it altogether.

I would genuinely pay and look forward to more for a hair pack than any other DLC (bar story DLC, of course).

And your evidence for this is?

(Besides the highly circumstantial and none too persuasive fact that the Qunari females don't have long hair, that is)...

The one  liked most where or with the sad mohawke (really, I have seen newborn babies with more hair...) or totally bald. Not good for my character. (I wanted to create a more feminine character, in contrast with my tomboysh elf girl)

In the end I had to choose between one of the two ornated horns that came with the mini braids (that are horrible, but at least let imagine that the character actually have hair)

The problem, as I see it, is not just no long hair/too many shaved hairstyles. Is the lack of tasteful hairstyles and that female hair have male bald patch, that for me is unforgivable, and a terrible input for the "BioWare was lazy with the hair" argumant. (I don't think that personally, in fact all the others thing about the CC are great, and I love the scars, the horns, the frecles and the different kind of skins. But surely the hair in comparison are incredible worse.)

You know, while I'd love some long hair for my female Qunari, I'd be just happy to get some hair, any hair, for her. Really, do the developers have a hard on for tall powerful bald women or something? Between Viv and the oh so many bald options for femQun it's really quiet apparent.

But if I could have just one hair style, that's already in game, for my Qunari that'd be Morigan's hair. That would look so amazing with some horns.

Hair was all around awful this time around. They got so much of the new character creator right except for the hairstyles. Dragon Age games have never offered great hairstyles (especially for females). Hair improved from in DA2 from DA:O, and then they took two steps back with it in DA:I.

I just want Morrigan's hair. I don't know why they had to make it exclusive to her. I guess that's what mods are for though.

Because that could lead to amazonian cheesecake characters and that could be pandering to straight dudes AND THAT WOULD BE WORSE THAN PUTTING CHRISTMAS PRESENTS IN SOCKS THE DEVIL KNITTED!

.....

or you know, bioware never really managed hair exceptionally, hair with horns would be way too much for them....

A qunari woman with long hair would look like a goddess, and then nobody would ever pick other races...

Maybe they shouldnt have used this engine then...?

And what would the alternative be? Use the same engine they used for Dragon Age 2? No thanks, im happy with how the characters look now, sure they don't have super model hair, but then again they never did in the previous games either.

They need to add both hair and more cheese-cake/amazonian focused aesthetics for that to happen.... <.<

I understand limitations on length and animation. I don't believe that justifies the lack of short hair variety, but then what do I know. lol If there were more styles, especially for Qunari, then that could have helped soften the disappointment due to lack of long hair.

The lack of variety has built in me the desire for a DLC Appearence Pack; lots more short styles, facepaints, qunari armors etc. So, yeah, get on that Bioware.

If i understood correctly they had a list of options but decided to go with this one because it enabled them to create a big beautiful world.

However it was hardly compatible with anything and they had to work hard to make things work properly and clearly some stuff were sacreficed for this new engine. Hair, combat, tactics, mods etc.

If you ask me they should have went with an angine that might have made the game look worse but was designed for an rpg/crpg game.

Correct me if im wrong as i was just skimming through the link but was the jist of it was just moving for the sake of visuals and the fact the frostbite team started branching out or something?

Ill never complain about pretty visuals but come on...
