I guess one-handed swords and mauls are all that's left

So like... be careful when salvaging.

Are you ready? I got a decent maul today, at least good enough for routine. I'm not sure about my reaver using a single-target weapon, but we'll see.

My one-handed sword is terrible though, something like 72 DPS. Slow legionnaire soloing is the only way I'll get it done.

I wonder what they'll do for challenges next. Kills/xp on certain a certain map? There aren't very many things in the existing challenges that they could borrow, like they did for the weapons. They'll have to write new code soon, unless they are just going to be lame and recycle things.

Three full extractions on perilous against each of the enemy types? The challenges were sometimes sadistic in ME3 MP.

The two that ran during Christmas weekend are supposed to come back as well, for those who missed them.

I've got a Mhemet's for maul, and some level 20-21 common sword.

Screw that unless they add the ability to choose the enemy. They were?

Not really. On the very last weekend, there were two challenges: extract on Bronze against all enemy types, and extract on platinum against all enemy types. The platinum challenge was the only sadistic one.

There were a couple of challenges involving extracting on gold, but there were enough pros at that point to carry a noob just pugging, and that's exactly what happened.

AFAIK, if you use dragon rage, it doesn't matter.

Crap. I think i deconstructed my maul recently. I hope i kept my purple one. i definitely have a longsword though. I'm also guessing poison and spirit damage kills will be challenges some week or another. Detonation kills as well.

Much like this weekend was a weapon and something else (greatsword and elemental), the next two weekends will most likely be combos as well.

Perhaps first mauls and spirit, then swords and poison. Or some similar combination.

Kill 100 enemies, using only level one characters, and no gear other than the starter (Inquisition) weapon/armor that the classes get when unlocked.  Attached upgrades on the basic gear would have to be acceptable though.

I'm not using my maul which has better dps than my greatsword, but the greatsword has 3% guard on hit..... But I do have a maul that after upgrade has 230 dps so I'm good, and I have a 200 dps sword, so I'm good to go!!!! Infact since the challenges started I've kept one of each weapon type, the worse for me would be another mace day. Oh, Aoe daggers.... yeap if they did that.... I'd be screwed.

The Avenger kills. I mean, even using my beloved Quarian Marksman, it was still bad. Meatgrinder does not begin to describe what that was like.

I just kept shooting... and shooting... and shooting... and shooting... and shooting.

My friends and I thought it would be interesting if we did the challenge on gold.

We were wrong. We were so wrong.

We did aswell! Level IV ammo and all!

God, it was like trying to tunnel through a rock with a fire hose... I mean, you know it will eventually erode it's way through, but it takes forever!

I never liked going with a weapons class for those bad weapon challenges, you wanted someone with a quick power that left enemies nearly dead so you could pewpew the last of their health.

Mauls aren't so terrible with Dragon Rage but I still don't like them... then again I am reeaaaaallly spoiled with the Pull of the Abyss purple greatsword, hehe. I can't ever remember the name to that damn greatsword, but it's awesome!

I remember doing it with my melee batarian soldier and sticking an omniblade on so I could smack em around with it before shooting them down. T'was still painful to do, though.

Nonsense.

The Avenger is deadly on full auto.

The Avenger, well, it was full auto and didn't have much damage or spread or recoil, so it was pretty much just click and hold. And hold. And hold. And hold.

The Predator pistol, on the other hand, was semiautomatic (obviously) and weighed next to nothing and did next to nothing... Until you made a click spam macro to make it fire much, much faster than human fingers ever good. Turned it into an SMG. Recoil was sort of an issue, but not like the level of the Hurricane or anything.

You could do the same thing with a macro to spam spacebar to stay alive while you wait to be revived, but there was a limit to it. Spamming too fast would appear to work but then actually cause you to die faster if you continued. I'm glad they replaced that in DAI with the ability to crawl pathetically toward our allies, begging for aid...
