Almost every time I join a game in progress there's 3 people and one of them is an elementalist. It's happened to me so many times today, three in a row once. The rare occasion when the elementalist isn't present I'm guessing he was lead.

You paid for this game and you should have the most fun out of it!

How dare people play with the ele and make you uncomfortable?

 

So how should we proceed? Ban all the players that play ele?

Group them all together and lock them away?

 

What punishment would be appropriate?

So...don't? It's not like it's ME3 where you could be forced into actual GIP's just by searching for a lobby. Just leave the lobby and search again.

On topic, if you don't like joining GIP then host. Or bail out of GIPs until you spot one you like.

When joining in progress there is good chance I will get stuck where I spawn.

It was mentioned but not spelled out for you, so I will spell it out for you.

 

You don't have to ready up if it is in progress.

 

Also: host your own game, then you'll know it won't be in progress.  Hosting your own game seems to be a good idea anyway with Bioware games.

Yep host and begin a solo run, odds are someone will join you before you start or by the time you reach 2/5

I have a totally different experience, I always end up in game with 2 archers and a hunter.

I've not had the key glitch in a week or so. Wasn't aware it was still an issue. I'm super cereal.

Whoa. For a moment I thought this was the ME3MP forum. Considering the DAI lobby system is something I believe Bioware got right in MP I have no complaints.

 

Joined a GIP full of mages and you're wanting a balanced team? Leave the lobby and look for a new one. Hell, this is a vast improvement.

I thought this was going to be  post about joining games in progress and being unable to move.  THAT is a real bug.  Another thread about Elementalists breaking the game? DELETE THE STUPID EXPANSION ALREADY. Play the base game, move on with your life. Problem solved.

I'm not really seeing a problem.

 

Like what has been said before, it doesn't take long to back out of a game in progress and search for another one.  Even if you get three games in a row that are not to your liking, only a minute or so will have passed.

 

Also, you shouldn't hate the elementalists so much.

Eh, joining games in progress means free experience for whatever they've already done before you got there.  Works for me.  My favorite is joining a game and having it load right back to the lobby with you a few levels higher.

Works just fine. I'm playing without the expansion - no key bug, no armour bug.

As again today, i'd be glad to be able to join any game, just ANY game at all, even with 3 ELEs. The lagging connections or non-connections sure are sickening. Your pc in a load-loop or hanging in a black screen is even worse than Eles, Canines and Fire Storms.
