I meant old games, not the new ones. *Shrug* I'm still going back to PT:Torment, which was released 15 years ago, and enjoying it way more than DA:I. And not out of nostalgy.

Are you looking forward the the Planescape sequel? It is out in ten months or so.

I don't believe it'll live up or even come close to its predecessor.

Wait.

Wot.

Is this a troll?

The thread title and the content of the OP practically bleed sarcasm.  So, I'm guessing the OP is trolling...

That being said, I like DAI and fortunately have had very few issues despite the fact that I play it on Xbox 360.

Hard to say. Looks interesting so far, though.

I... what?  What?? How did I not know about this? Was I too busy playing and re-playing the Mass Effect trilogy to notice?   ... Nah.  B)

But still... I feel shame.

For more years than I can remember Torment was, for me, the game by which to measure all other games. Morte, Annah  , Fall-From-Grace   , Dak'kon, Nordom... sigh. Trias the Betrayer, Ravel Puzzlewell. Fhjull Forked-Tongue. The Brothel. The Wards. The Rubikon.... sigh.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll be watching it closely.  :D

Pillars of Eternity is out soon. Bet you will love that one.

People with brains, about 0.001% of human kind, will all love it.
I know you won't agree with my offensive but deep in your heart you know it is true.

Getting into DAO again I have to admit, the original is better albeit more linear. Granted DAO is our introduction to the world and DAI kind of assumes you already know the fundamentals of the world so it has to expand on the environments that we've only heard stories of, but the dialogue, character development, and story has so many more layers. I'd recommenf DAO if you love DAI. Plus you get to know morrigan and lelianna as younger versions of themselves...

Really best game ever?  I'll just go back to playing Gothic 2 and 3, Thief Dark Project and Metal age, DAO, Witcher, Torment, Dungeon Keeper, Starcraft, Risen, etc.etc.

I'll tell you a little secret: DA I has one thing over the The Witcher, 1 and 2, I have actually finished DA I, twice. I've never finished either of the Witcher games, even though I own both of them. It's amazing how you can come into a thread and try to assert your totally subjective opinion on other people as if you're the Holy Grail of gamers that everyone should aspire to be like.

Did you play a 2-handed warrior, maybe?

Or perhaps a Rift Mage?

Which of the amazing hairstyles did you pick?

Have any trouble getting through key conversations because the dialogue wants to lock up?

I'm really glad you like the game, I like it too. But I can't even fathom how anyone could call DA:I "so perfect" with all the bugs and broken abilities in it. If you can get past that and consider it the best you've ever played, you're a bigger man than I.

I consider it better than Origins.

No. Not even close. Give me a PC with modded Morrwind or Skywind and I'll agree with you. It's a very good game though. Could've been great. Should've followed my gut and gone dark, hype and a lot of cut content is what disappointed me in the end. Also - no more fetch quests without narrative/decisions other than "Yeah, I'll do it" and "Screw off, the Inquisitor doesn't run errands".

Nothing's objectively perfect of course. But the amount of whining and crying about it is also amazing. People just cannot leave others' opinions without pushing their own, can they?

Opinions are nothing without other opinions to fight them with. It's like cockfighting, with our minds.

I really don't need any validation in my opinion of the game, which is that it is a great game. One of my favorites.

Nah, that's not entirely true. His experience will be the same despite any amount of contradicting opinions. But having and sharing them is entirely okay, sometimes even fun, except when someone's called a troll just because he thinks differently about a topic which is all about entertainment. But it's true that I didn't point out which kind of comments I was referring to.

To each his own, and I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy Inquisition for a long time to come. :)

But my point was that so many things in DA:I are broken, as in do not work properly or at all, that the game is far from "perfect."
