Hi, I received DA Inquisition for Xmas and am thoroughly enjoying it.  It's my first Dragon Age game and first real RPG.  Anyhow, I've finally come across some runes and want some advice on what weapons I should add them to.  I'm playing as a dwarf warrior who specializes in two-handed weapons.  Is it better to put them in the staff of a Mage?  The bow of a rogue?  Daggers?  One-handed weapons?  Two handed weapons?

Also, if you want to add a rune to a mage's staff, what types of staffs work best with which kinds of runes?  For example, if you have a dragon-slaying rune, would it be best on a fire staff?  Or on an electrical or cold staff?

Basically, what gives you most "bang for the buck" when it comes to runes?

Well they apply flat damage. So whatever can apply the most hits; aoe, fast attack speed, etc. However all weapons benefit from runes. So I would say apply them to favorite weapons. Low end runes are very, very easy to come by.

Runes only apply their damage on basic auto attack. THey add nothing to you abilities. So go with whatever you want as they barely make a difference.

I would say this is only somewhat true. Some people prefer to go more auto attack heavy and as such they benefit them greatly. It will vary though. Everybody plays differently. In general runes are more useful the more autos you can land so keep that in mind. They are far from the most influential aspect of your damage though so don't spend too much time debating over how to use them.
