Friends,

For anybody who hasn't seen it, Xelrach on Nexusmods (bless him) has created a simple .exe that takes your dragon age save file from your documents folder and gives you a beautifully formatted text file of all the decisions you made, organized exactly like the tapestry in the keep. 

 

You can grab all your choices and input them in less than 5 minutes.

 

Since it's in beta, for most, even if your characters import, you will have to put in the choices manually and this was just amazing:

What's wrong with the Keep?

For many people, it is a known issue that the keep will pull in their character(s), but not the tapestry decisions.

 

Of the many people I know who play Dragon Age, I in fact don't know anybody whose decisions load into the tapestry automatically correctly.

I talked to EA today and they also acknowledged it's a known problem, so this is an easy workaround that takes five minutes for anybody having trouble. Hope it helps!

This will read your file for dragon age 2. They do dragon age 1 too, but it's not as good as the nexusmods and leaves out some of the decisions

Incidentally, does anybody know of a good decision reader for the DA2 save file that gets everything, like the DA:O one that i linked above does?

 

I still haven't found a good one for DA2 and would appreciate any suggestions. I have trouble remembering what my decisions were in DA2

It's not a 'known issue'. It's WAI.  The Keep isn't supposed to populate the choices and decisions made in DAO/DA2 (and therefore can't).

Skymoves - as mentioned above i found a save file converter that gives you all the tapestry decisions in a list for DA:O that works great, however, I have not found anything for DA:2. Do you/anybody know of one? There is one in alpha I cited above that's great, but incomplete

This is the only thing I know of for DA2; 'tis online only and a WIP, partial Beta. (What is there works pretty well, though.)

I wanted to make a comprehensive post on the workaround mosaic I have created based on the hardwork of many great community members, including a reader for saves for Act 1 and a partial reader for saves for Act 2. What I added myself was the organization of this and a list I typed out of all decisions in Act 2 so you can see which ones are not currently tracked by StinStin’s cite. I printed out this list and, as mentioned below, just used it to track those decisions manually. Then, you can just take these and click them through in the Keep and you’ll be good to go.
