Yeah I'll admit I like the direction the multiplayer takes DA. However it leaves the story mode absolutely ruined.

The reason I call it shitty is because most people I hear are not liking it as much as I do.

If you call this game 'shitty' only because you want me to sympathize with you, don't bother. I think you are a terrible person and a troll regardless.

How in the bloody hell can you people think this was intended? ROFL...

Someone in Bioware was probably like "hey... that's kind of game breaking..."

Then their EA boss comes in and slaps a seal of approval on it.

Sure, yeah, you can call that intended...

Reload cancelling......working as intended.

Seems like it works correctly to me...

Enemies start moving again after the field ends, why wouldn't arrows?

Its also more hilarious this way, so I support it!

We can attempt this theory to real life physics.
Step 1: drill a 21/64 hole into a tree at around chest height
Step 2: insert a 21/64 arrow shaft with the point protruding away from the tree
Step 3: sprint towards the arrow
Step 4: ????
Step 5: profit

This is annoying but 100% avoidable. I've downed myself by walking into stationary arrows before. I learned not to. Problem solved.

These arrows should either start flying after effect ends or lose the damage. Them staying there silent and deadly is inconsistent with other Disruption Field behaviours.

I assume he's talking about the fact that disruption field stops arrows like it stops enemies.  Which means that when it dissipates, every arrow that got shot into it suddenly continues on their flights, instantly turning anyone on the other side of it into a pincushion.  The solution: don't stand there...  Though I'm not so sure that it's a bug.

That is both horrifying and amazing.

Regardless of whether it is intentional or not, this sounds beneficial if you know what's going on.  Disruption Field blocks arrows, preventing them from hitting you, to avoid getting hit, don't walk into the damn arrows, problem solved.

you have a point. its just infuriating when i feel responsible for being the keeper that causes it

I rather enjoy the effect. I especially like trolling teammates by getting an archer to shoot at my disruption field in just the right angle so that Katari walks around the corner...

Neria: "Hey Karari, say 'what'."

Katari: "What?"

...BAM!

Neria: "Blah blah blah arrow in my face!"

Tamar: "Looks like Neria has been spending too much time with Sera..."

In those situations, I would refer you to the "lessons" that Killing Floor, Counter-Strike and Call of Duty have taught me about pub/ casual games.

The team will always bring you down.

If you're good enough, the team might win, but you will hate them afterwards.

F** the team.

I do say the above sarcastically. But it is a team endeavor. So if the team wipes, you can't put all of the blame on yourself! What were those three other people doing? Even if they're just holding Mouse1, there's no way they should all be taking damage at the same time.

This is *especially* true for Killing Floor. Just because one of the six players is a Medic and can shoot health to people over range, doesn't mean everyone should start  taking as much damage as possible. And players will do this. If there's no medic, they'll keep range from enemies and kite if they have to. As soon as a medic shows up, everyone is suddenly compelled to face-tank. Then blames "the sh*tty noob medic" when the team wipes >_>

So in DAMP, where the best we can do is give teammates a health buffer when things go south, you just have to say "well, that sucked" and start up the next game.

While you did mean the statement sarcastically, it is a very real sentiment, although even worse than that. I refer to it as "COD Syndrome", which is the idea that your teammates are enemies you are unfortunately unable to shoot at that very moment. It's why I cannot stand those games. If I want a team, I want an actual team lol.

But yes, if you wipe, it's no big deal. Take the XP and try again!

"COD Syndrome"

I actually play destiny and halo and gears, and while I do enjoy deathmatches and stuff, I much more prefer horde mode and cooperative play, and I say, I'd rather play with someone, than against them.

I've made more lasting friends off of MEMP than any other game. All you have to do is look at the forums for a game like this vs destiny, people on destiny forums get downright mean and nasty, where as most people here are nice, and calling a person a scrub is generally lighthearted. Not that it doesn't get nasty, but its far, far less.

I really only talk to people on Destiny when doing a raid, or its one of those friends I made from MEMP, I talk to people all the time on DAMP. I always have my mike on, if muted, when playing multiplayer on DAMP.

So honestly, people on horde mode type games should be given more of a chance, you'd be surprised how often you find true team players....

Of course this is coming from a person that is rebuilding the templar without line in the sand becasue of kill rushing pug's... so take it with a grain of salt.

Oh, I have had a similar experience in more recent years. Back when I was in MLG for Halo 2, the competitive scene I saw was not nearly as toxic as it is now... COD and LoL are the worst, by far. I do not know what it is, but it has made me never want any of those games. In regards to multiplayer, I stick with co-op almost exclusively nowadays. The competitive scene is too obnoxious to me.
