Are there enemies that are immune to the weakness status effect? Boss, for example? I've yet to build a rift mage properly (aside from toying around with Sola's) and I'm wondering about about the limits to the build.

Similarly, which of the weakness aspects of the build are bugged? I know some abilities are bugged but I'm not sure I quite understand the issue.

The only enemies I know of off-hand that are immune to weakness are giants.  I don't recall any other enemies being immune, although I was playing on hard rather than nightmare, and I don't know how much that would change things (if that's a concern).

As for weakness being bugged, there's a thread about it here.  In short, sometimes if you apply weakness, then apply it again, when the first weakness expires the enemy will go into a bugged state where they aren't actually weakened.  It appears that the bug occurs if the second application of weakness is from a different skill than the first one was, and using the first skill again will re-weaken the enemy correctly.  Also, someone reported that the passives that increase damage dealt to weakened enemies and recover mana from damage dealt to weakened enemies still work, it's just the actual weakening effect (reduce damage dealt by enemies) that doesn't work.

One other thing: part of the (potential) power of the rift mage spec is supposed to be from being able to detonate your own combos via stonefist (which is an impact/warrior detonator, not an arcane/mage detonator).  However, some of the impact detonators (e.g. mighty blow, whirlwind) don't work properly, and stonefist is one of them.
