I've read rumors that you can only promote each of your characters 5 times...Can anyone confirm this?

There may be a cap on stats (80 maybe? I forget, it's in one of the mechanics threads), but not on promotions themselves.

If I had to guess I would probably guess it wont display over a number higher than 255 like it does with items.
