In most cases there is impossible to see whats goin on durring battle. Tactical mode let us scan battlefield with microscopic window recording 'in head' whats going on around, cammera is verry low with many problems. In normal mode we cant to see mostly part of combat field and enemies. Controls just make Us cry, it's so hard to play and manage the team. Please make a DLC:

'click - to - move'

'long-camera- distance'

At last it would make the game a fun. PC is not PS.

I made a tutorial for this. After you do this you still need to turn your sensitivity down to control the camera well. You could petition bioware for someone to teach you. I don't get paid so this tutorial will have to do.

reply to it so it gets brought back up..

I doubt it will ever get fixed. The game was released almost two months ago and practically nothing has changed.

DA:I was made for consoles, like the XBox One, PS4 and not for the PC wioth keyboard and mouse.

Bioware went the console route to try and make more money.'

They might release some patches addressing the PC issues, and I hope they do because I to find the keyboard and mouse interface quite badly done.

Thank You for Your key bindings Mliqiud, unfortunatly You didnt understand the topic. Main problem is afford we need to spend to control a camera and team. In many cases we just cant see what's going on on the battlefield or give simple order. We have 2015 and controls are from '90. Reconsider this. An other problem is autoattack... Good luck.

Tactical cam is indeed terrible. I used it a bit, but actually just found I preferred to give each character initial position and action, then drop out of it. Faster that way, and it didn't seem to make any difference because unless you frame advance and control minutely, each character, they still act like idiots. Even if you do, they act like idiots.

i.e: Micro-management is beyond ridiculous, so it's better to just make sure they don't have skills that they can't use effectively, and play the game without the tactical mode.

... and yet, the thread that promised to deal with these issues has since been mysteriously removed.

... and no update has been had since then.

... and twitter statements say "but you already have KB+M"

sigh.

wrong... my tutorial sits where it does.. and I have no issues with controls. your sensitivity is too high and your skill too low. The only thing that makes it broken is the mental block allowing you to control the peripherals in front of you.

Sorry mLiquid, but apparently simply ignoring you doesn't make you go away. I've seen you tout your tutorial so many times now I already know it by heart. Look, I appreciate the effort you poured into it, and the limited relief it brings to an utterly botched KB+M control system, but it cannot magically fix every single wrong turn BW's intern took when s/he was hacking together the mess we have today. For example, the tactical camera aka "invisible party member #5" will still be a mess and click-to-move / stick-to-enemy will not magically appear.

I think it's important for Bioware to know that many people, me included, expect them to make good on their promises from November/December last year to iron out PC control issues, even if they have since removed the relevant announcement thread. (Why?)

maybe 1 button Mozart isn't fixing anything.... maybe that's it. maybe you actually have to work at something and be somewhat good. I'm sorry if you don't like my sales pitch but since I'm the only legitimate claim to working controls I feel it a responsibility to make sure that someone can join the forum and believe more than your failures. The original forum poster made a title directly in line with what I provided.... so maybe your news thread is secondary to someone who might actually just use the controls and move on. I for one wish I had the HP in a machine to rub your nose into a let's play.

In the end it only looks combative, because the last thing anyone wants to believe is that they aren't as good as they thought or that something is over their head and not presented in a workable way. I understand that. I really do. But 4million people saying the sky is green all at once doesn't make it so.

the only "broken" aspect of it is the ceiling height of some maps. There's no issue with the camera itself. In that respect. I drive a car everyday and don't crash into buildings or telephone poles. I mean if you have that little control over it I would suggest turning down your sensitivity. I wouldn't want them to destroy the beautiful world they created or make 200 foot ceilings in every area so you don't have to work a little. In the end I got really good with it. To the point where I can now treat the tac cam like cinematic controls.

The only thing that makes it broken is the mental block allowing you to control the peripherals in front of you.

You mean the peripheral that has 4 additional buttons on it that the game does not recognize and I cannot map basic functions to?

That peripheral?

well if you have a peripheral with that many buttons you also have a driver to remap them :D but you knew that. I have use place marker keystrokes using the same method in TES series. No difference.

Stop trolling mliquid, and do not convince that is somthing wrong with peoples who do not ejoy your 'pupu'. Controls are verrry bad, camera is bad and autoattack is problem. Thats my opinion and many otheres. I see no reason characters cant go and pick up somthing I've  clicked. I ll start 'click-to-move' dlc petition, anyone who agree is Wellcome to sign it. bye bye

I just want the tactical camera to go up higher XD I remember in Dragon Age: Origins, I always felt like I could see most of the battle from the tactical vantage point. But in Inquisition....lots of "ehhhh....okay where's my person....scrolling...scrolling....ah there they are! Okay....now let's put a barrier on someone...gotta find them too....AH NO IT BOUNCED AWAY!"

Agree with the previous. I just bought the game yesterday and still trying to get used to it's PC controls, but it seems impossible.

Need higher camera point. Need camera not to bounce all the time, for example when character hides weapon.

Need click-to-run, click-to-use in both modes.

Need cursor to be bigger and not to hide when I'm clicking. I'm constantly loosing the cursor.

Without these the only way to play is just run down the road not looking for anything around. And when it comes to battle do nothing, just let the party do the job. But if so - where is the fun? I want to play a game not to watch a movie.

I'll try to wait for some patch for PC version. If no comes it's pity but perhaps I won't play this game anymore... :(

Apparently cursor scaling is being implemented with the patch currently in the process of being finalised. The rest of the issues seems to not have been touched at all.

Well considering that the click-to-move,attack,loot,unlock,open feature was in the previous two titles it would be nice to know why they left it out of this game. It's good to see that it annoys others as much as myself.

I can play the game without any problems with a mouse and keyboard on a PC... it's just the camera that annoys me the most.
