Heheh, if its possible to answer this question in a quick yes or no, is it possible to retexture this items?
I'm aware of someone having found a way to modify weapons via INI, but textures are what I'm really interested in, the game is well balanced as it stands.

I guess most people have a problem with it - I certainly dont. The voice actor carries itself, I see it the same as Tali. She has a mask on, yet her character was awesome in cut-scenes.
A.You don't play as Tali
B.She has to wear a mask its part of the Quarian race

Why let us customize our appearance if we can't see our face?
Helmet toggle should always be available. We should still get the bonus for having one on, we just wouldn't see it (except in combat or hostile planets).
I can understand them not wanting us to customize the bonus armor. They want them to look a certain way.
I think this needs to be changed though. Why give us the ability to customize armor, then give us a bunch we can't touch? It makes them quite useless.

you can see you face in the inferno armor? sweet thats the one i gotKingDan97 wrote...
In all fairness, you can see your face just fine with Inferno and I believe Terminus shows your mouth(I'm fairly certain I saw it). I agree that not being able to remove the helmet is a dumb move but it's no dumber then needing to wear headgear to get a bonus of any kind. As predicted it seems like the bonus armors weren't meant to be worn the entire game as I have found armor pieces that serve the same purpose in the stores.

The first Personal attack we receive on this will bust the ban hammer out. Tread softly folks. And understand there was good reason why we did this.
Hmm tell us the good reason they we might understand.

I am either stupid or my English is not sufficient to understand this but the fact that the helm stays on in conversations, is because there couldn't be an exception for disallowing customizations of the CE/pre-order armors?
While I was replaying ME1 now to get up to speed with the story etc, I really admired the whole thing they did with removing the helmet.
Since I live in the EU and don't have access to the game, I don't know the workings of the new system, IMHO there should be an option to at least allow for the removal of the helmet.
Too bad I won't be using the armors I paid extra for since for me 99% of the experience of playing a game is how visually appealing it is. Having my character wearing a helm over his head through the whole game without seeing any of this facial expressions, even the way he moves his mouth, decreases that appeal.

Bunch of whiners, honestly. And when will you people realize patches can't change core game mechanics, a patch doesn't replace an item a patch repairs bugs in programing not redesign the game. If there is no option to remove the helmet, deal with it, its just extra armor anyways the stats won't out weigh the already in game armor stats.
I'm pretty sure simple code can be implemented where a Cut scene starts or in conversation.
Better yet what they should have done when your not in combat is the helmet opens up. Sorta like in Ironman.

Nope, terminus hides your entire face and then there are two little lights that go on and off with your talking. When i got to the cirst interaction while wearing my terminus armor I exited and reloaded the game. I never enjoy playing a game with helm graphics showing and so I always turn them off. In a game that's built around being immersive it's a big shame that I can't actually see my face when talking with different people.

I can't go into the details of it, but with many of the changes to Character Personalization we required that Armour be mostly static, with the exception of when you change at an Armour Locker.
Now i'm confused.
If the rest of the armour in the game is sectioned off into various parts for customising, why couldn't the same be done for the DLC armours?
Surly whatever was done to add the various seperate bits of N7 armour, could have been done to the DLC?
I don't mean to come over as an arse but I genuinly am confused about this.
The armour was the main reason I forked out twice the price for the UK CE ( yes I know i'm stupid ) and now I find out I won't be using it.

I'm pretty sure MMO's disagree with you, and besides, DLC is just a patch.

"I know, right?!"
"Now, stick this helmet on so we can't see them."

It was a horrible choice for an RPG. If this was a Multiplayer game I can understand the no toggle option but a game that prides itself on being immersed in the game having this totally kills it. How much are these codes going for?
I'm not sure 'horrible' is the right word to use. 'Redundant' would be more apt. In a game where you can customise your own armour to look exactly as you wish it to, any armour that doesn't follow is immediately on the back foot.
To be honest the only bonus armour I actually wanted was the Collector armour, because it makes me look like a Tyranid. I probably won't be using it in reality - I prefer the old-style armour from ME1, so I'll customise a suit that meets my preferences to do that.

I think something other than you have read was meant: even if you wear the N7 armor with a helmet, you cannot remove the helmet except via the wardrobe screen.

I think CHris said in a different thread that it was done for concept reasons, they wanted the armor to look a certain way and apparently that meant no being able to remove the helmet.

What concept was that, the concept of people not wanting to wear it?
