Did anyone else get to comment in the Eluvian crossroads?

The last time I played I did not get this dialogue after seeing a youtube video with this dialogue, so I was sad. I was an Elf, Male, Rift Mage with all the dialogue perks. PS4.

I'm getting the feeling it's neither specilization, class, nor perk related. Maybe it's to do with dialogue? Maybe you have to exhaust all conversation with like, Solas or Morrigan beforehand?

I actually thought this was just part of the conversation anyway. But then again, I tend to play the same kind of characters. I've gotten it with two Elven mages and a human mage. All Rift mages and all with the Arcane Knowledge perk. Will watch out for it if I ever get my human Knight Enchanter that far.

Seems that way. I guess it's some other, less obvious factor, or simply bugged.

Ah, I can now confirm one thing.

The conversation in the Crossroads with Morrigan, about the Crossroads 'decaying' or some such, is available for a Rift Mage

I've put off specializing until that point, and specifically got all specilizations just to try it. Tried it without a specialization, then with a knight enchanter, necromancer, and finally rift mage. Only the last one showed the convo.

What I can't confirm here is if the other classes get this dialogue option with specific specializations - I've a weird suspicion that I had triggered it as a tempest rogue, but I could be wrong.

The crossroads scene is weird.

I have heard many rumors about it, some of which happen to be true.

One of which is that the cutscenes can be slightly different based on which race you play. I tested this with the human and elf respectively, and the human one ended up getting a few cinematic differences in her cutscene. There were "space warps" that popped up every now and again, and little areas on the screen that blurred out at random intervals when she talked. And what looked like fade energies bleeding through too. Whereas with the elf, there was no "space warps" at all....no quivers in the air, no random green energies.

I'm not sure if this was because one of my Inquisitors was an elf or not, but I have also heard rumors that differences can also be caused depending on major choices made in-game (supposedly).

It is possible dialogue may also be affected by these "hidden factors" as well.

I got it with my Human Male Rift Mage a few days back. He said the place is collapsing slowly on itself and won't exist forever.

Yes, this is actually known - only an elf will see a nice and clear Crossroads, all other races get the space warps. Really cool nod toward the Inquisitor's race, IMO!

Is it well known? I only managed to catch it on my third playthrough .

Haha apparently! I only noticed it when I was looking through videos for the comment on the Crossroads, and that was probably my 5th or 6th playthrough! But then I posted it on the DA subreddit and was advised that it is known. Didn't mean to sound patronizing :)

I think it's tied to your mage specialistaion. I got it yesterday, for the first time and it was the first time I'd played a s Rift Mage. I always played mages, and had all conversation perks and never got it with any other Inq.
