Anyone feel a little guilty about Dragon Hunting?

As they run away mid battle and I mercilessly chase them with Vivienne and her Spirit Blade spam of invincibility, I can't help but feel a little mean...

I've only killed two. Hinterlands one deserved it (and man, was that fun). Storm Coast one, I felt like a bully.

Same feeling, but with nugs.

Nah, they have awesome stuff. If they weren't rich, nobody would care killing them. It's all their own fault, if you ask me...Therefore Dragons basically die by suicide, my conscience is all clean ![]()

As Inquisitior I am the apex predator of DA:I, their mistake was simply finding themselves on my hunting grounds (the entire world lol)

The one that was SLEEPING and you could just walk peacefully right by it...not going to lie. I felt really guilty. (Must complete game! I've come to realize how silly that notion is.)

Not really, if anything I'd like more dragons! Mostly because I find their bodies so useful when crafting.

Yup, it's why I don't hunt or kill dragons unless the plot absolutely requires it.

Nope. I would guess a lot of poor peasants wind up in the belly of dragons and dragonlings, probably whole families. Not too mention how much other wildlife they would have to eat daily. I can see them depleting an areas food supply quickly, including people, and leaving whole regions desolate.

I avoid killing Dragons, it just feels mean. They are usually so out of the way that they don't feel like a threat to anyone and you actively have to hunt them down.

Sort of.
They are mostly just out in the wilds minding their own business, and not in the process of killing people. Most of them are surviving off of wild game. So in that sense yeah, dragon hunters like the Inquisitor mostly just seem like a douchey trophy hunters for killing them. They aren't monsters any more than lions or tigers are. It would be different if they were torching villages or carrying off peasants to eat, but for the most part that doesn't happen.
That being said it's a video game and I needed their stuff.

Yeah. I don't attack them myself.
I also avoid killing what doesn't attack me first, when possible, unless the Inquisitor I'm playing is a mean ******. >.>

Not at all... I need their bones and scales for powerful armor and weaponry. Plus, they tend to contain undigested equipment and sometimes even gold coins from adventurers they crossed paths with in the past. That's too tempting to pass on.
The only creatures I refused to kill were halla, and that's only because they are sacred to the Dalish elves... however, if I had been playing as a human, this wouldn't have been an issue.

The most guilty part is when they stagger and fall, about to die, and you are just relentlessly cutting into them. Maybe they could have made some of them just fly away and leave the area "you chased the dragon off! Hopefully he will never return!"

Pfft guilt. I'm like the Iron Bull when I fight a dragon. I yell at the screen; taunting it as I throw another Stonefist at its bleeding leg.

No, though I do avoid killing dragonlings unless they attack and I have to kill them. The adults are old, it's the cycle of life. Samas even thoughj I play a Dalish, if I need the leather, I will kill halla. I need the bits of the dragon to craft gear for myself and my team (playing can't have it if I don't craft it.) and I need the other loot to rais money to buy the items I can't or don't have time to hunt for (rune stones and such.)

They mind their own business in their own places...except when they don't. And when they don't, usually their main hobby is to burn a city to ashes.
So yeah, they're majestic beasts, and I feel kinda bad for them when I kill them. But guilty? Nope, not in particular. Their fault for not growing a brain and realize that killing others and destroying villages is just wrong.

I feel guilty every time I litter the beautiful land with broken bottles. Half of the Hinterlands are strewn with dangerous, non biodegradable glass now, thanks to me and my crew. Even on grass, my team takes the effort to smash every bottle they drink from like they're some college students at a frat party - but no they're just litterbugs.

If they were real? Yes, very quilty. Actually I might be some crazy 'Save the dragons' activist if they were real things.
In the game? Nah, Dragon Hunting is one of the best parts in the game. Plus, they usually attack you first so basically it's just self-defense, right? Right!?
