Honestly I don't think any of those are remotely scary that second if anything looks down right comical but different things scare different people.

Yah though he is a special case as he is one of the forbidden ones, one of which has made a appearance in every game so far.

It's all about context. In a first person game where you spend your time slowly walking through dark corridors and have limited combat abilities anything that jumps out at you is going to be terrifying. In a third person action game full of brightly coloured spells and companions having witter banter with each other at every turn it doesn't matter how grotesque the monster that comes at you is, it's just going to be another thing to kill.

Pyramid Head might be scary in Silent Hill, but in Dragon Age he'd be no different than a Revenant.

No one of them is the least bit scary to me, all of them are too humanoid looking to be scary but then, werewolves, vampires and such aren't scary to me either, nor are arachnids or any insects, snakes, animals etc... Anything natural looking is not scary. Many can be dangerous and, deserve respect but they are nothing to fear. For me to fear it, it would have to be clearly alive, capable of movemnt and attack but, entirely not of this world. Now that would be scary, totally unkown, none of the things that are predicatble about denizens of my world, it might not even think like anything I know, won't act like it and, may be provoked by what I think is avodiance or kindness. Might interpret me not showing fear as a direct attack, etc.. That's scary.

think that this count as majority amount population.

sure a spider can be very scary if you fear spiders (Arachnophobia) but for most people it really do not much.

I wish more games took influence from early SH's overall techniques when it comes to horror in video games

Something like this beautiful girl, which consistently holds the title of scariest creature ever on screen?

Spiders always scared me as a kid and I still don't like them but to me its the things you don't see that are much scarier than anything they show to throw at you in movies or games, its why the best horror movies don't show you the monster except at the end if at all because the image you build up in you mind will be scarier than anything they show you on screen.

well... pyramidhead was scary. not his looks, but his essence.

broodmother was scary, not because she looked like a fat stripper with plastic surgery obsession, but because i've learned how she came to be. that was unsettling

fear demons are not scary. they are told to be scary. and i usually do the exact opposite of what i'm told because i'm a stupid person like that

You have to remember though they appear as what scares you the most which for the inquisitor and Hawk is apparently spiders and that they are feeding off your deepest fears which is taken up to the eleventh with their master the nightmare which feeds on the fear and nightmares of all Thadas, every fear from the slightest to greatest conscious and unconscious fear makes it stronger which is why its unkillable, you can't kill fear it self.

I think Pride Demons are adorable. Their laughs are just so cute. They just throw their heads back and hold their bellies and really deep "MWAH HA HA HA"

Except Imshael is actually a Forbidden One, like Gaxxkang and Xenabek.  Ser Michel is underestimating Imshael's power.

That's one thing I didn't care for.

Pride Demons are supposed to be clever and powerful.  Real threats.  In DAI, they're just Elite Mooks.
