70 hours into the game and just a huge grindfest, its linear but the story isn't good, its 80% filler fetch quests. There is too few skills and actual varied things to do. There is a huge lack of features that were in promotional videos for the game.

I remember when they said there would be stuff like keep customization for military/spy/commerce, or actual things that can change the inquistions position. All that stuff was total lies. The game is mostly linear with stupid little mini quests that you just click on to do with no involvement.

They couldn't implement all that but they spend their time on a tacked on boring multiplayer.

This is the first bioware game where I just don't feel like finishing the game. Bioware just getting progressively worse with their games.

Another thing the developers lied about is the inquisitor hat that they were advertising to us.

And remember that awesome screenshot that Bioware released with the inquisition charecters, which includes the armored version of the inquisitor?

Instead of wearing your own specialized armor that you work so hard to get... instead of walking in like a professional military man.. you walk in with your pajamas on!

"I think with Inquisition...we've done a pretty good job of keeping a lot of the surprises under wraps."

Which surprises are you refering to??

This is why developers should never release gameplay info for a game till its about to release, and why I try not to watch video's or read info except that they are working on a game.

They always get peoples expectations up and the break their hearts when said features are not in the game.

If the developers do not release gameplay info they are accused of being silent. Posters on this forum asked for information about the game. Bioware should have just remained silent and after the game went gold then presented something for public consumption.

Also much of the early footage that was seen was not released by Bioware (and clearly labeled and stated as pre-alpha, alpha or beta). Someone with a cell phone took video at a not open to the public event and released it on the net.

Everything is subject to change before the game goes gold.

Also the cowboy hat (called the Inquisitor's hat) is in the game. I have the schematic for it. The wartable picture is just that a picture. You never see all the advisors and characters at the war table.  It is a marketing piece with conceptualized art.

So, you thought the stuff they were discussing in Alpha was 100% guaranteed? Those features got scrapped. Stuff always gets scrapped. I mean, this is common sense.

Also, you call "Keep customization, or actual things" a huge lack of features? You named one thing, and vaguely alluded to other stuff. You're not serious, are you?

How about something different then - like this promotional video. Bioware continues to promote the game by showing cut content to demonstrate features that didn't make it into the game.

If Bioware had any integrity, they'd have taken down the promotional video (and/or published a correction), but they don't seem to care. As long as Bioware continues to promote the game using this video, I am forced to assume that everything Bioware PR publishes is lies.

Bioware presented the material that was in the "hype". They are directly responsible for it. Do not present things that you cannot deliver and mislead people into believing said content will be in the game.

I am so sick and tired of these ridiculous fanbois and everyone else who think it is an actual morally acceptable business practice to essentially present false information to garner interest in their products. This is why people in the past only showed what was in the games; BECAUSE IT WAS.

Bait and switch = motto of the video game industry these days and it sucks.

Stopped at level 11. Couldn't continue playing it. Not only because of the poor design regarding these grindy quests though, but also because the tactical mode is a massive downgrade compared to dragon age origins, as well as the u.i and almost everything about it aside from the visuals are a total downgrade.

Did the multiplayer for a while though, the combat was definitely designed to be played as an action game. Makes the single player in nightmare difficulty unbearable with the current tactical mode. You can tell this game wasn't tested fully with the tactical mode or was meant to be played with the tactical mode (it's clear it isn't).

I've lost all hope for this company at this point, never buying anything from them again. You're right btw about how they lied. I was waiting for these big tactical decisions regarding whether to defend a keep or save a town instead or something, army position stuff, all of that just like you said was a total lie. None of that is in this game and the side-content here is abysmally poor. Way too many grind-filler content and there was definitely a complete disregard and lack of anything remotely close to being interesting for side-content.

Your keeps or unlocked locations don't get attacked, really 0 options to customize them like increase trade in one and make another more military based, you can't lower inquisition patrols in one area and increase them in another, 0 stuff like that which is what they advertised. Totally lied straight to our faces.

This whole game is a disgrace. Anyone giving it game of the year was definitely paid off.

No kidding i am playing multiplayer and while its not anything spectacular it is more entertaining to do than the side content of this game, even the classes seem more balanced and better put together, and no focus abilities?, yes please that mechanic sucks.

Can you take a screenshot (close up, if possible) of your character wearing the inquisitor's hat? Does it have the white paint (Or leather) on the sides like what is shown on my screenshot? The hats in the game is a total failure... As for the war table.... Everyone but you is wearing their proper armor.

Thing is i expected them to lie, did not bother following the game as this is EA and they are known for this. Since ME3 i expected this and the crappy eavesdrop pointless fetch quests.

I went in expected a decent 6-7/10 game at best and i got that.

And for us xbox360s and PS3s they said that the game play would be absolutely the same as with everyone else, just with a few less NPCs walking around, and that was also a huge lie. For most of us it plainly refuses to work. For the rest of us the graphics and gameplay are horrible. Lots of lies and misinformation all around.

What they actually said was gameplay would be the same but graphics would obviously be not as good.

Dumber than Morrowind, sure. Dumber than Oblivion? I dunno about that.

Morrowind was an epic. Oblivion was posh cute stuff.

They said precisely what I quoted, that the graphic experience would be just the same but with less NPCs walking around. I'm not making this out of my head, please check the thread here and you'll see. http://forum.bioware...x-these-issues/

"No," Darrah said. "I would say we're definitely making this game to take advantage of the hardware that we have. I don't think we've had to make any compromises. Because this is ultimately about you controlling a party. The combats are designed to be controlled in size, and that's really meant that scaling for the lesser platforms has been a manageable exercise. I don't think we're making any gameplay compromises. Graphically, yeah, I think you're gonna see some compromises on the last-gen stuff, but in gameplay, I think we should be able to keep parity."

I personally don't give one whit what you do or do not do. Your thread proves little, your original statement was in error. And in future keep your future intentions to yourself, I'm not interested.
