Dogs as a new enemy faction?

I noticed that the number of dogs/hyenas/shinyeye wolves in some of my matches is awfully high. Like 3 huge packs per game, dogs spawning after I kill other enemies, dogs in walls, etc. Sometimes I feel like in some areas I fight mostly dogs with some Venatori/Templars/Demons company. So why don't you make'em a full faction, BioWare? We are almost there, and introducing "Dogs" faction with proper narrator lines would certainly improve the fun of the game!

Sample dialogue for the Dogs faction:

  • "There are rumours of a canine infestation, but our agents know what to do."
  • "Scouts report dogs from nearby kennels, but our agents are well prepared!"
  • "There is a lot of barking activity in the region, but it is a risk we must take."
  • "There is a particularily.... troublesome puppy in the enemy's pack. We need it put down".

I imagine the Dog Commander as a RTC mixed with that grey rhino-thingy, not Bronto but the bigger one when we're speaking of size. While making the whirlwind it would just chase it's tail, barking intensively, spinning and delivering death to the agents of the Inquisition.

It's a pretty good idea.

Sadly dogs have no keys so the party would aways be stuck in the first zone.

(sorry, couldn't resist that one...)

Some zones are much easier when all the archers are replaced with deepstalkers :)

The Canine Commander would also have an attack where he leaps across the map (through any walls) and tackles each party member in rapid succession, licking their faces to death, killing the entire party instantly.

He does this immediately upon spawning.

What if dogs aren't suppose to drop keys for players but players are suppose to drop keys for dogs....

The bigger bronto thing is what I call "dragon food" or Gurn if your Bioware  :D

KILLING DOGS MAKES ME SAD  :crying:

It makes me sad too. The worst part is that they realistically sound like dogs.

And now they have a 'cower' mechanic in combat too which I don't remember from past games fighting wolves, etc. I felt bad when one was bugged and the group just had to wail on it until it went down.

Side Note: I could see a 'canine faction' (wolves or something) being a good 'hook' for bringing werewolves back into DA. But I really really doubt that's something that would happen. Especially not 'soonish.' Also, if they ever added a 'bear faction,' I'd be out of there so fast. Getting chain-stomped to death by giant bears sounds even less thrilling than a pony-sized mabari using the 'overwhelm' skill from DAO. xD

Werewolves faction sounds good, but I doubt that would happen. We don't even have a Darkspawn faction, despite the fact that they are the original nemesis in the Dragon Age Universe, let alone the Werewolves.

-snip-

  • "There is a particularily.... troublesome puppy in the enemy's pack. We need it put down".

That was in the same time incredible funny and sad.

Now I am thinking about Cujo.

I'm assuming that things didn't get much better after I left then.

Seeing that DAMP is not on the same level as MEMP(not even close),it is nothing strange to see that people leave game so early, which should say something to Biower.

Spoiler alert!!!!!!

Its true...The inquisition was formed in order to deal with the recent Fennec population boom in Thedas. Our role as the inquisitor is to cull the fenec and save the Chantry.

Plot twist! After eradicating most of the Fennec you find that they were the only thing standing in the way of your true enemy...The Druffalo! With the dwindling numbers of fennec left. The Inquisition is powerless to stop this new foe, nowwhere is safe! The Druffalo have fortified their position in key locations across Thedas - one of which appears to be an old Chateau.

^Thats basically the DAI SP in a nutshell - I Cant wait for Dragon age 4!
