I seem to have very low-res textures in-game but I don't see a texture detail setting anywhere in the config menu. I have an HD 5870 so I SHOULD be able to run this at max settings...couldn't even find a INI setting...help please! It looks even worse than ME1...

Same here on this problem. Figure I'll give this thread a bump (I have a HD 3850 1gb. Mine should run it fine on at least a high setting)

Is no one else having this problem? Any ideas?

I have a 5850, and had the same problems. I just cranked everything up to max in the ATI Catalyst Control Center - no framerate issues, and it looks gorgeous.

Just as Mass Effect one was. Not all characters/items have high res texture. Helps with the frame rate.. or so that's my guess anyway... But ME1 was the same.. You could post some screens It would help more..

Haha, wow, thanks ATimson...forgot I had put the settings down to performance levels for some benchmarks, forgot to crank them back up...amazing that the CCC could have that much of an effect...but in any case, thanks for the tip!

Looks the same as ME1 on my 5870 system. Generally pretty good. But some clothing isn't as sharp as desired. That's what PC gamers get when everything is made for Consols first.
Blurry Textures usually means the Drivers Defulted to super blurry mode. I mean defaults.

If you are using steam. Then I am sure you are aware of the Configure Setting option in Launcher.
If you are unaware and have not tried this here is what you do:
IF you are running STEAM:
Right Click Mass Effect 2 -----> Select [Mass Effect 2 Launcher].
The [Configure] should be in the Launcher window.
CD:
My Computer [Right Click Mass Effect 2] ---> [Explore] ---- There should be a launcher.exe or something along those lines.
Or if your computer has a auto launch option. Eject and and reinsert the disc. The launcher should appear with the [Configure] option.

You mean they defaulted to the application's settings that are poorly set.Wyvern76 wrote...
