Lol I just thought the same thing! "Ja" means "Yes" in Danish lol :D

For us Finns "ja" means "and" so... andandandandandandandandandandandandandand looks quite stupid.

When it comes to language weirdness French takes the top spot. They write "s'il vous plaît" but actually say something like "sil vu plee". Mind. Blown.

English isn't any better though. Consider words like 'knight' or 'knife.' Why is there a K in either word, when it isn't pronounced? And why are words like 'rough' or 'tough' pronounced like Ruff and Tuff? What happened to that G?

Yeah, English has that problem too. But that aside it's at least quite easy language to learn, unlike...

Because English is the bastard child of every other language!

Seriously, it uses everybody's weirdest and most messed up words, and rarely follows its own rules. Learning English isn't about learning the rules of grammar, spelling and pronunciation, and then following them - it's about rote memorization of the 8 billion exceptions to all the rules. Teaching ESL is a constant cycle of, "Yes, that does follow the rule that I taught you, but it's still wrong because it's one of the endless exceptions."

Have you heard of the Brazillian KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK laugh? It actually exists. There is another one as well: RSRSRSRSRSRSRSRS.

Don't worry. We Portuguese joke about it too.

We type like that.. Come on, who would laugh like kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk in the real life and not be called a stupid or someone with a lung disease?

We laugh like normal beings.

RS stands for Risos, which is the portuguese/brasilian word for laughter.

Pointless anecdote: An issue of Astro City once used an "alien" font for the speech of some invading aliens. Unfortunately, the letters "h" and "a" in the font still looked a lot like a regular "h" and "a". So, rather than have the aliens suddenly burst into strangely intelligible laughter, the writer just changed the script to read "Wlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwlwl!"

I have to admit, I hate this... But sadly, it's true. The Internet is really being flooded by those that "huehuehe brbr"...
