Story: Continue to expand upon origins. More power to the writers. Find a way to break the game played by entities of old (eg Fen'Harel and Mythal). Choose your own destiny. Would be nice to introduce an anti-hero.

Locations: DA should be all about story and moody scenes. No more grand areas to explore. "Open world" slows down the pace of the real story.  Back to the beginings, more locations with greater significance instead. I want to travel further west, but also enter more of the grand cities around the world of Thedas.

Characters: The Anti-Hero. Would be nice to follow up on all the memorable followers throughout DA:O to DA:I. Fewer new companions, and more of the old ones.

As implausible as this idea is, I love it.

I do too :) This referring to post 72 from Cyan Griffonclaw

How about one where the PC is the Left Hand of the new Divine? Whichever of the possible Divines the Inquisitor chooses, you're more or less sure that they won't be racist or sexist or anti-magic about it, though they'd probably insist that their Hands were Andrastian. So your possible options would be Human, City Elf, Surface Dwarf, and Vashoth.

Though you could make a case for the Dwarf being one of Brother Burkel's converts from Orzammar.

I have two things that I want

1.) In DA 1 , 2 and Inquisition -

Most of the heroes are from ferelden / or orlais I think. Grey warden , champion of kirkwall and the inquisitor. These 3 are often referred as the good guys of dragon age, or good nations.

I would want DA4 to focus on the Tevinter Empire. The mages, slavery , how they were once considered the strongest nation all over thedas. It has to be a tevinter hero, born of nobility who wants to change Tevinter to a better place.

You will be against a Quanari invasion.

Solas will rally the elves and seek to reclaim the Elves as the most powerful race again.

2.)  Or it could be a 3 way war. Not sure how elves ,and dwarves will count since I think the elves numbers are not that much.

The Orlais Ferrelden alliance vs. The Quanari vs. Tevinter.

Story

Even with Mythal/Flemeth’s soul, without the orb, Solas continues to lack the power to bring back the old Elven Gods. Seeking a being with the power to do so, he travels to Tevinter and manipulates the dragon cults there. The unthinkable happens, a sacrifice is made, and the spirit of Dumat is revived. However, before the ceremony is complete, Grey Wardens interrupt the ritual, Solas flees and the soul of Dumat possesses the body of the Sacrifice. Word of what had occurred spreads and the Magisterium, eager to harness the power of an Old God offers the Sacrifice a place on the Magisterium. So begins the tale of the Ascendant.

Meanwhile, Tevinter tethers on the brink of collapse. The Magisterium is divided, rebellion, led by one Dorian Pavus brews. A blightlike plague stalks the land. Their armies are stretched thin, exhausted by their wars against the Qunari. Corypheus’s actions incurred the wrath of the Chantry who, eager to recover from the events at the conclave and fearing the rise of the  Ascendent, orders an Exalted March against Tevinter, whether the Divine wishes so or not. Now an army of the faithful, led by the Chantry and the Inquisition march across Tevinter’s southern borders towards Minrathous itself.

Men war and Gods plot. The dark ages are coming and the Ascendant’s actions will determine the survival or fall of all of Thedas.

Locations

Tevinter

The Andefels

Seheron

Characters

As the Ascendant, whether or not you support the Imperium, Exalted March or Qunari (no doubt you’d be declared a traitor should you openly declare your allegiance to the latter two), you have a house and voice in the Magisterium. Your companions are your friends, allies and retainers, all seeking to hasten or avert the fall of the imperium.

Ronan, warrior, two handed weapon, male romancable only. An enormous knight from the Andefels, as large as an Avaar barbarian, his plate armor bedecked with honors and trophies, Ronan joined the Exalted March for honor glory. Though his loyalties lie with the Chantry, he was impressed by the Ascendant and pleadged his service to him/her.

Kayra, warrior, sword and shield, bisexual. The life of a slave gladiator is a hard one, but it’s all this young woman has known. Gifted to the Ascendant to serve as a bodyguard, little does she realize how things will soon change, even, perhaps, so much as to hear the cry of freedom.

Sarenei, warrior, Spear. Hostile, nationalistic, terrorists, the Dalish Illiveri clan has always been at odds with the imperium. Sarenei is no different, yet his eyes see further than the war mongering hunger of his keeper. And so he sets out, leaving behind his wife and child, to find the Ascendant and a new homeland for his people.

Bianca Davri, rogue, bombs and grenades. Fleeing an unhappy marriage, in spite of her misgivings Bianca has come to Tevinter, believing it the only place where she can live outside the merchant’s guild. Life is good, she has a steady job as the Ascendant’s artificer and a chance to build a better life. Until the day a broken crossbow is delivered at her door.

Fredric of Serault, rogue, archer. Bisexual. The world’s foremost draconologist. The chance to study dragons in Tevinter and examine this man/dragon Ascendant creature under domestic and hostile conditions is fascinating. So, with his trusty dragonling Gustav by his side, Fredric sets off into war torn Tevinter. FOR SCIENCE!

Raven Cain. rogue, dual daggers, female romancable only. The scion of a disgraced house of magisters, from his birth Raven Cain was condemned to the worst fate a tevinter magister can imagine. Barred from ever learning true magic, he was taught that the only purpose of his life was to serve and trained as an imperial assassin. Tired, broken and wielding only scraps of blood magic to enhance his skills, the people of the imperium are nevertheless close to his heart. And he would stop at nothing to see them safe.

Lynn, mage, male romancable only. Born in an Orlesian alienage, when Lynn manifested her gifts, rather than surrender her to the Templars, her parents took her and fled to Tevinter. There they were taken in by a kindly magister who trained Lynn as his apprentice. Never forgetting what she could have been condemned to, Lynn stands as one of Tevinter’s staunchest champions.

Feather, mage, bisexual. She is an impossibility, a Saarebas who dared develop a mind of her own. Now Tal Vashoth, though her heart is torn, Feather must seek refuge amongst the enemy. Lest her own people find her.

Lucius Valerius, mage, female romancable only. One of the only surviving mages from the battle of Adamant, Lucius Valerius is an outcast amongst the warden ranks. No longer truly recognized by his fellow wardens, he is assigned to keep his vigil beside the Ascendant, to observe, to find his own redemption. And if necessary, to slay his charge.

1) Story: I'd like to know what will happen to the Wardens and I'd also like see some of that spill over into Tevinter.

2) Locations: Anderfels/Tevinter.

3) Characters: I think appearances from the Hero of Ferelden would be welcome. I do not wish to see Hawke again. Dorian and Sera would be welcome returns from this game with maybe a cameo from Bull. Everyone else from DAI should be left out.

So if Bioware gave you a chance to shape the next DA game (4) with 3 Objectives...

1 Story

2 Locations

3 Characters

What would you do?

You can of course choose to ignore this thread but I thought it might be interesting to see what you would come up with. :)

1.

You can play as a Human, Elf, Dwarf. Orgin Stories will occure. You'll play as the HOF first if he/she is still alive. If not, you'll play as the Orlasian Warden, which makes sense your a Orlasian.

2.

Orlais (first)

Tevinter

3.

The Hof first as you'll rectruit yourself.

Regan Whiteman (Human Female Mage, romance Male of any race), Regan is a good friend of the HOF's, she was one of the mages that lived during Uldreds revolt, and she knows Cullen fairly well as well. She approves of you helping others and being kind to others, but also approves of bad people getting it. She is not soft at all, she is a Knight Enchantress.

Tara Alexanderson (Eleven Female Warrior, Romance Male Elf only) She is a city elf, tough and ruthless in her ways, she approves of stealing from people that wrongs other, she also approves of anything that benefits Elves. She also know Zevran fairly well as she herself is Antivan. However, she trained as a Champion, which she is.

Summer Fairwind (Eleven Female Mage romance Bisexual) She is a very nice and poetic person, whom is actually very tough and strong. She isn't weak in the least bit, her real name is unknown. She was raised by Dalish Parents whom were killed by Humans when she was 5 years old and she was sold in Tevinter as a Slave. She may act sweet, but she is not, under neath that she is a very hard person seeking revenge for her parent's death. She approves of thievery as some people don't deserve pretty things. She is a Necromancer.

Aniline Whitethorn (Human Female Rogue, Romance Girls only) She is a intelligent and brave person who is willing to give up her life to save others, she is like a knight in shining amour. She is approves of anything noble and brave. She is a Assassin.

Daniel Thorn (Male Human Warrior, Romance Female only) He is a Templar. But he is very ruthless in protecting people, he can be very cocky at times, he is not a knight, he is a very arrogant person who will shed this if you befriend him. He approves of anything that helps the group get it's goals.

Mathew Young (Male Human Rogue, Romance Male only) He is the type of guy that will stick by your side no matter what. He is very youthful and friendly He does have a slight crush on Daniel and will constantly flirt with him. He has a Alistair sense of humor (NOOOOOOO... I really want Daniel to have Alistair sense of humor but..... UGH.) He is a Tempest

Zak Dunes (Male Elf Mage, Romance Bisexual) He was born in Rivianni. He approves of deeds that benfit him only, he doesn't like helping people as he is a very parniod man who lived his entire life in fear of being caught by Templars. He however will calm down when he is with you. He hooks up with Tara if unromanced.

Oliver Hudson (Male Elf Warrior, Female Only) He approves of things that amuse him, he loves pranking people and scarcasm. He hooks up with Regan if they are both unromanced.

Story: Strong, plot driven one.

Setting: Anderfels and Tevinter combo

Characters: Avvar male (same sex love interest)

If I got those three things, I could tolerate anything else.

I have a feeling that in Dragon Age IV the main character will be an elf. And only an elf. Why?

Dragon Age: Origins (Dragon age Zero - three races)

Dragon age II (side-game - one race: human)

Dragon Age: Inquisition (Dragon Age One - four races)

Dragon Age IV (side-game - one race: *or elf or dwarf or qunari*)

Dragon Age "something-with-the-H-letter" (Dragon Age two - four race and half-breeds...)

Do you guys get  my logic?

Story: Qunari invasion, but during a time of Divine Victoria's unrest. Rivain, Antiva, Anderfels and or Nevarra aren't so happy with her reforms, (or, in Vivienne's case, the fact she's a mage), so no Exalted March can be called right now. It is basically the Qunari v the Tevinters, all out war, one on one. Your actions decide the victor. (Neither would be completely wiped out, but one would have a significant advantage over the other)

Setting: Mostly Tevinter, Seheron and Par Vollen.

Protagonist:

Humans - Laetans

Elves and Qunari - Slaves (potentially differentiated background by owner)

Dwarves - Ambassadoria

Companions:

Calpernia or Maevaris Tilani

Saarebas

Rivaini Seer

Elven Ben-Hassrath Agent

Carta Thug

Escaped Slave

Tevinter Templar

Fog Warrior

Dalish Warrior

1. More elven god fun. Follow up on Solas's plot and tie it to Tevinter. During the quest, the Qunari get decimated (via elvhen artifact or whatever) and are forced to flee. End the game with the Vints getting ready for a mass invansion thanks to Solas (and make it something he didn't intend. Poor Wolf).

2. Rivain, Tevinter, Seheron

3. Harding as companion, Wade and Herren, Sandal, Abomination Anders (as a villain), Dorian, a trans LI.

4. Option to be a Rivaini protagonist. More human options other than nobles.

Dolores Umbridge comes to mind.

Actually, this would actually be really interesting. I saw a discussion on Umbridge vs Voldemort yesterday that really struck me and I think most people would agree.

Spoiler

Having a main villain that hits closer to home would be really interesting but I don't know how you could tie that in with a mob threat. Every single villain had an army of their own so....yeah, I don't know how you'd do that without putting the villain in an everyday setting.

(btw I'm just lurking around here to see what people come up with; don't mind me! :D)

Story: Don't care

Location: Anywhere we have never been.

Characters: Make characters that have defining traits other than their sexual orientation. Inquisition felt like they were filling quotas of appeasement for every single group out there. It was pretty damn transparent. Especially with Dorian and Krem felt like I was watching a PSA. Make characters that have goals, plans and motives. Their orientations need to be little more than a side note glanced over.

Set in Tevinter.

Plays like Origins but with faster combat and even more tactical options.

About 30 more finishing moves, in addition to the ones already in Origins.

All the character options from Origins (dual wielding etc) + 5-6 noew weapons. Spears etc.

A dark and very gritty story.

Choices with real consequences. Some of them very negative.(Not to the point where it breaks the game in any way).

Blood magic being a real and very dangerous threat if used\let be used.

1) Restoring Tevinter to it's former glory and destroying the Chantry / Qunari.

2) Tevinter, Anderfels, Rivain, Par Vollen, Black city.

3) A few companion characters without a sense of morals would be nice for a change.

1. A follow up to what's been set up with Inquisition would be nice. Solas, Flemythal, the Eluvians, the fall of Arlathan, c'mon Bioware, some answers. D: I don't think I could wait until Dragon Age 5 to get them, it'd be agony! XD

I'm pretty fine with whatever, though, so long as it's enjoyable. The only thing I wouldn't really be interested in is the next blight, I think. Mainly because it'd feel like a repeat of Origins, and there's so much more going on in Thedas besides the Wardens. Blights typically occur after longer breaks, and take far longer to defeat, than I expect we'd see in another game. XD Although even if that was the focus, I'd be alright if it was handled well. Even more so if it was tied back to red lyrium or the Elven Pantheon in significant lore-y ways. Eh?

2. Teventir, Anderfells... Maybe multiple areas like we had in DA:I could be possible? Only if handled in a way that still left them interesting, though. I'd rather have one focused area with driven content than have them divide their efforts if the game would suffer for it.

3. I'm gonna leave the cast up to Bioware, they're pretty good about that. XD I agree with what Catche Jagger said about having the companions join up more organically. I also wouldn't mind having a companion like Hawke's sibling was in DA2, where they are with you at the start and have known you for some time already.

As for the protagonist, if we're going with a third main character, something new would be appreciated. We've done Warden and Refugee Nobility and Religious Idol. An established military leader, a bodyguard, a thief, I dunno, something different. In fact, somethings different (I know that doesn't really work, just go with it >___>). A return to form with multiple origins that you actually had some time to explore, or at the very least altered your experience somewhat later on in the game, would be great.

1. Continued Story about the Inquisition/Inquisitor. Maybe about power struggles with Orlais/Ferelden/Tevinter? Also resolve the Grey Warden civil war.

2. Location: Southern Thedas, maybe touching Northern Thedas near Tevinter or Weisshaupt

3. Characters: Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, Hawke?, Inquisitor, Warden, a Tal-Vashoth, Merrill, Fenris, Anders, Sandal, Cassandra, Fiona, Sten(the Arishok), Sebastian, Aveline
