I usually play the Talon Mercenary in Silver because I have never found an effective build for him in Gold. Can anyone suggest me a good build? Thanks!

Here's a video of me playing the Talon Merc. It's called the Robin Hood build.

Several options:
Have you tried turning it off and then back on?
Krolord.
Claymore.
Airlock.

He's kidding, he doesn't play the Talon, and refuses to until he gets Snap Freeze and Flamer together with the Cain mines.

An arrow build with the GPS is my favorite for the Talon Merc.
But if you're not very good and are trying to use him in Gold, just max out the Cain Mines, get your grenade capacity as high as possible, and spam the Cain Mines at enemies. You can only have 3 active mines at a time, so throwing a 4th mine when 3 are active detonates the first one you threw. So if you see a big group of enemies, just start throwing Cains at them as fast as possible. After 3 mines, each extra one you throw will be a detonation. You can kill groups of enemies (even bosses) almost as fast as you can by pulling out a Cobra missile and firing it.
BTW, I apologize to everyone for posting this.

I've been playing ME3MP for more than one year and I tried to use the Talon Merc many times in Gold and it never worked. So, usually I use him in Silver (my Cain mines are always at the max - I can't imagine a Talon Merc without Cain mines). Recently I was thinking about bringing him to Gold again, but my attempts were quite poor. I guess he will always be my Silver pg! We all have our favourite pgs that are perfect in each game, the Talon isn't one of my favs!

Best build clearly, but I can't decide between spacesuit or no at rank 7. Is violent and immediate ebullism or insanity inducing week long starvation death better?

Hey you might not die immediately. You might even make it till your lungs explode or you die from being fried from the UV and gamma radiation.
There's a silver lining to everything.

No. Sudden exposure to vacuum will kill you in a few hundredths of a second, and you will look a lot worse than is portrayed in any movie at the end of that brief process.

I used to believe that too. I stood corrected some time ago on these very forums, I believe.
Apparently,

Not a 100% reliable source I guess, but the sources he cites are certainly good enough, if they're true.

Yes.
You wouldn't explode, it would be like a version of DCS / the bends with suffocation.
Soyuz 11 is fairly illuminating in this regard.

So apparently it's much worse than I thought.
