Just what the title says...
I am trying to get the superior battlemaster armor, I am now very near the end of the game with only the fade, the three dragons at Emprise de lion and a few things in the hissing wastes left...

 

I have the Short list perk.
I have tried fast traveling to Suledin Keep and Griffon Wing Keep  and Skyhold, saving, turning off the game, repeat in all the different orders I have heard in the forums. The other merchants update their stock but not the Canyon market, not once during the two days(!) I have been at this! 

 

is this bugged for me or have I missed something?

 

I play on PC btw.

 

Any ideas?

 

And if anyone from Bioware sees this..why?
Why not have the vendors update their stock after main quests or something. Why put points in perks and then it's still random.

What kind of businessmodel is that for a vendor? "Oh yes, I have it, but I won't show it to you today."

He isn't bugged... but I have noticed he and the Suledin Keep merchant can be... stubborn. Canyon market sometimes goes super long periods with no update and suledin updates rare weapons each time lol.

That being said, as I recall the key to forcing updates is using a random, not hoping to reset mechant, saving and closing the game in an area whose merchants you do not care about cycling, setting the clock forward a few hours, reloading and checking, and then rinse and repeat. This is off the top of my head trying to remember thw process another guy used but give it a shot.

Superior Battlemaster Armor looks awful though so may as well farm the cradle for one of the other top tier armors

I will do one last update because I really think this is bugged and I hope someone from Bioware will see this..

 

 

This is how it looks everytime...the other merchants update their stock, but not this. And that star thing that is supposed to only be there when there is new stock is ALWAYS there and has been since the first time, it has never gone away and the stock has never updated anything. 

 

And I have tried every trick I have read in this forum...and nothing updates, ever. I am so annoyed

I don't think it is bugged per say. I had him stock that for like 24 hours straight once. Seriously though, just farm the cradle for Superior mail or coat as the armor looks horrible in my opinion and the opinion of many others. Trench coat is better than coattails and scale mail and plate is better than both imo.
