and here I thought it was the tattoo that might clinch it for me but it turns out all I needed to do was post in the forum & register some games   :P

That is a pretty cool tattoo, but yeah - you just needed the posts and registers really...

Maybe this thread title should have been 'should I be done with dragon age' rather than 'should dragon age be done'.

I'm having a total blast with this game.

I think it should be done, as in played and completed.

Oh wait, that's not what the OP meant, was it...?

I don't have anything to prove, I write what I think...

I bought this game under the false assumption that they were returning to the original formula as suggested on many sites before release. Yes, I was disappointed with this game & probably foolish to believe in the hype.

Also, this forum is flooded with fanboys "hence the diehard" induction.... As I come here to find news of any fixes/updates that may able to play this game at least once, as I did pay for it.

Or make a game that works with a mouse and keyboard. Or make a game that doesn't involve low quality fetch quests. Or release a game without tacked on multiplayer with day one microtransactions.

"I don't like Inquisition and judging by every other gaming site including IGN, GS, and MetaCritic, a large portion, possibly majority, don't like Inquisition either".

EA is LITERALLY Cancer. I'm not sure many here would disagree.

9/10 on GameSpot. 4.5/5 on Metacritic. 8.8/10 on IGN. 87/100 on PCGamer. 8/10 on Eurogamer.

Yeah, people hate DAI.

EA is bad (you keep making that point even though it has literally nothing to do with how DAI is received), but that doesn't mean they don't publish good games.

He also mentions IGN and GS (I'm assuming to mean GameSpot) in the very same sentence. IGN and GameSpot don't do user reviews. And if anyone tries to use Metacritic user scores as an actual mean, then they're f**king stupid. This is the same Metacritic where maybe 4 people out of a legion of user reviewers give legit scores, with everyone else giving it either a 10 or a 0.

...only the die hards & paid off defend this game.

I'm a die hard?

Die hard: disappear or change very slowly."old habits die hard"

Au contraire.

It is the lack of willingness to adapt, to change, to embrace new mechanics that

make those who cannot see beyond DAO or indeed Baldur's Gate be 'die hards'

those who cannot come to terms with the days of stat tables and unvoiced protagonists being behind us.

I loved, D&D, BG, KOTOR and DAO, but I keep myself mentally agile and go with it - I'm having a blast with DAI.

I'm sorry, you just didn't understand what the term 'die hard' actually means.

(Unless you imply I look like Bruce Willis, well it is true I share his current hairstyle lack of hairstyle)

Philosophically speaking it is those who cannot move on from the past who are (intellectually) dead.

No, The story of events that take place during the Dragon Age haven't been fully told. Video games are an art form, you don't have to like the art presented. No one expects everyone to like it.

As to the matter of EA being a cancerous growth in the gaming industry. It's worth pointing out that Activision-Blizzard and Perfect World Entertainment are just as bad, sometimes they are worse.

You know why this forum is full of people that endlessly defend this game right? They ban anyone that has a negative opinion on their precious art. Just like the Mass Effect 3 ending, you must be a troll if you didn't like it! It was an artistic masterpiece! The only people left here are the ones looking for a pat on the head by a developer that doesn't even post on their own forums anymore. So much for a place for Bioware to communicate with their fans, as Chris Priestly stated when these forums went live.

Hilarious. It honestly is. To sit here and watch people defend garbage because they're so in denial that Bioware hasn't made a decent game since Origins.

It's funny that you use ME3 to prove your point. I remember how they banned everybody back in those days who hated the ending, that's why every other thread on every other board was a criticism of the ending, because they were all banned. That's why I'm still here despite being one of the staunchest anti-ending people on the old BSN forums, because I was banned, like, a lot.

I also like how you say the devs don't post here, because Patrick Weekes and Allen Schumacher don't work for Bioware.

By all means, criticize the game to your heart's content, but for the love of god, make sense when you do it and don't just regurgitate the same old sh*t that we've seen 40 million times. Also, speaking some kind of truth would also be good. Straight-up lying isn't going to further your point.

Or maybe...a forum dedicated to a fictional universe tends to attract people who like this fictional universe...just like the MLP forums have a surprisingly large amount of...Bronies...

I also enjoy the rant over censorship on the forums that proves that you are not being censored...

Stop lying. If they banned everyone with a negative opinion, you'd be banned. So would a bunch of the other forum regulars. For god's sake, there's a guy here using the handle "Bioware-Critic."

I'm lying? How many times does Bioware need to lie to you before you call them out on their BS?

Place for Bioware to talk to their fans? Lie.

Spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate? Lie.

Made for PC gamers by PC gamers? Lie.

Choices matter? Lie.

Mass Effect 2 had it's entire inventory system stripped and people still worship Bioware.

Mass Effect 3 ending and people still worship Bioware.

Dragon Age 2. Nuff said. And people still worship Bioware.

Inquisition and it's endless fetch quests and people still worship Bioware.

SWTOR has one of the worst F2P models in the industry, LITERALLY forcing people to pay them to see content.

...and people still worship Bioware. NEWSFLASH: this isn't the same Bioware that made Kotor, Jade Empire, Baldur's Gate, etc. This is EA run, screw the consumer, nickel and dime them Bioware. And people still worship Bioware.

I actually agree with you insofar as I think Origins was the last really great game they made before Inquisition. Mass Effect 3 had a dumb story and a dumb ending (my probably unpopular opinion is that the story in ME2 was as bad or worse). It might actually come as a surprise to you, but that's a common sentiment around here among us "biodrones." Thing is, most people just roll wid it. They don't file with the BBB, go on hunger strikes, or shitpost endlessly.

Because that would be insane.

Or, maybe if they did, Bioware would stop making garbage games? Because, you know... people aren't buying their garbage anymore? Nothing gets done when you sit there and nod your head all day.

It is of course entirely possible to like a story, series or concept without necessarily liking the producers behind it...for example many people like Star Wars, but they may not like George Lucas...

Honestly, the only great thing that ME2 has over ME1 was ditching the half-assed RPG trappings (which were poorly implemented and tedious at best) and making it more of a shooter.

And you continue to be hilariously overdramatic.

You're lying because you definitively, unironically claim that Bioware bans everybody with negative opinions. That's patently, blatantly false (I'm f**king proof of that).

"Spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate" was part of the marketing for DAO, not DAI.

Bioware DOES talk to their fans here. Not that anything I or the devs say will dissuade you, since you seem to be held in your weird, factually false opinion.

I don't have this game on PC, so I can't speak for how it plays there.

Your choices DO matter. If you decide to let someone die, they no longer appear and you lose whatever benefits you would have gained if they had lived. What else could you reasonably be looking for?

ME2 not having an inventory like ME1 really killed the game for you, didn't it? Not being able to tediously sift through pages of useless trash items really ruined the experience for you. I know I hated ME2 because I wasn't able to convert everything I had into omnigel, because the gun I picked up several levels earlier was still better than the garbage loot I was finding and because I had maxed out my credits. I'm glad I had to keep going through guns when I had a Spectre X assault rifle with Frictionless Materials and ammo mods for an entire playthrough.

If you're going to complain about something, make a complaint that makes some kind of f**king sense. Good god.
