The thing that I hope dies in a fire is the mentality of "I don't like it so it should die in a fire".
Of course that's even less likely to happen than them not making more Dragon Age games.

EA is LITERALLY Cancer. I'm not sure many here would disagree.
I dislike EA as much as the next gamer, but you know what is LITERALLY cancer?
CANCER.
You know why this forum is full of people that endlessly defend this game right? They ban anyone that has a negative opinion on their precious art. Just like the Mass Effect 3 ending, you must be a troll if you didn't like it! It was an artistic masterpiece! The only people left here are the ones looking for a pat on the head by a developer that doesn't even post on their own forums anymore. So much for a place for Bioware to communicate with their fans, as Chris Priestly stated when these forums went live.
If that were true you wouldn't still be here.
Or, maybe if they did, Bioware would stop making garbage games? Because, you know... people aren't buying their garbage anymore? Nothing gets done when you sit there and nod your head all day.
If you are sooo angry at bioware, why you are even here?
So far Dragon Age Inquisition has won over 40 awards from various sites. The latest being IGN people's choice winner. So no, Dragon Age should NOT and will NOT be done now. ![]()
Perhaps you should learn proper social skills and use constructive arguments if you want to share your critique and if you "give a damn".Instead of bashing on a company/video game with immature insults and arrogant expressions.
See, I think Ort is getting exactly what s/he wants out of this...drama addict.

but I get amusement out of this and I got a game that I enjoyed out of BioWare.
So in the end, I win =P
I would be brokenhearted if Dragon Age was done now! There were a few minor things in the game that annoyed me, but I love the DA world. I would be happy if it was an endless series that moved from country to country, or eventually, continent to continent. There's so much that hasn't even been hinted at because it's beyond the water...oh man.
But I'm also so in love with the world and lore that's been set up that I devour the books and comics too so...my opinion may be a bit biased haha
The only reasons I can think why people would like this game are...
The casual gamer loves DA:I as it has shallow gameplay that doesn't require much thought, Shiny graphics, so its an easy pick up & play game, entry level (RPG)
The console gamer loves DA:I as they constantly used to being served up shovelware games, most other games on console only require quick thumbs, so this game must seem to stand above most other offerings, considering. It must be a amazing CONSOLE game.

I like BG, KotoR, DA:O, D:OS, Wasteland 2, etc.
I also like Inquisition.
I don't think I fit into your groupings of people.
"I'm not sure how well Inquisition is selling, I honestly don't care. I personally think this series is just about dead. You can even tell by these forums that things have slowed down"
This is funny because the same thing was said about Mass Effect 3.
"All this has happened before, and all of it will happen again."

I hate these posts. My judgement is not somehow inferior because I choose to game mostly on a console instead of a computer or because I don't meet some ambiguous time criterion that will allow me to be graced with the precious "hardcore gamer" designation.

Pay him no mind. The air is pretty thin up there on his high horse. It makes him irritable.

Agreed. I have to admit, it kind of cracks me up when someone tries to make me feel like less of a gamer because I'm playing on a console. A gaming console.

yep I hate it too all this pc master race bs is really annoying
The franchise has been butchered. The game is pure trash. Dragon Age is dead.
I know a true sequel to DA:O is completely out of the question, so I hope that DA:I doesn't meet internal expectations and EA buries the franchise.
I hope this is sarcasm.

It sure is.
And I'm a strictly PC gamer. I fear if I brought a console in the house the cats would starve and I would never bathe... ![]()
I hope this is sarcasm.
Judging by the commenters other post, I fear it probably isn't.
I'm not sure how well Inquisition is selling, I honestly don't care. I personally think this series is just about dead. You can even tell by these forums that things have slowed down. Bioware refuses to go back to what worked and the majority of people are getting sick of it. Every game that EA produces releases with some tacked on garbage multiplayer with microtransactions. The entire business model is designed around scamming people while nickel and diming them and it's all perfectly legal.
EA is a cancer preying on this industry. It literally destroys everything it touches. And the best part? After nickel and diming all their customers, they can't even pay an American to answer your support ticket when you have an issue. All that money and you can't pay someone an honest wage to answer your phone? I have to commincate with someone half way across the world so you can pay them $1 a day? The greed knows no end and people continue to defend them and Bioware.
Let's face it, we're never going to get a real RPG out of this developer again. Once the doctors left it was all over. We all knew Bioware sold their soul to EA to make that garbage mmo that nobody even talks about anymore. Long live indy devs. One day scum publishers like EA will be irrelevant.
You do realize EA is losing money, right? All that money? What money? As for the microtransactions and multiplayer, you can skip it completely and still play the single player game, so your issue is kinda moot. AAA games have ridiculous budgets these days and publishers are looking for extra revenue where they can. If the video games industry was raking in crazy profits you might have a leg to stand on. Probably not, but a better chance than now.
Pardon my possible ignorance, but what is the difference between DA:O and DA:I concerning EA? They're both EA games, right? Apart from Frostbite ofc... This is a genuine question from someone who has no clue about how these things work, I just play games I find enjoyable. :3 So no hate please! Genuine answers appreciated!

Not a gorram thing, but don't tell that to the people who sing the praises of DAO and tote it as the standard by which all other RPGs should aspire to, and relentlessly trash DAI, that awful, worthless piece of garbage.

Or you could just stop buying DA games and those who enjoy them can continue to buy them. What about that crazy idea?

Insignificant, if any at all. DA:O as we know it may have started being developed before EA's acquisition of BioWare, but that'd be it, and honestly? That's very little as it is.

Origins was announced in 2004 while BioWare was bought by EA in 2007 and the game came out in 2009. With the mentality that EA ruins everything it touches, the theory is that much of DA:O was finished before BioWare became a part of EA. I don't share that mentality, but that's how a lot of people think.
It's the same with the original Mass Effect. It has EA's logo on it, but the game itself was made prior to BioWare being a part of them which means minimal EA influence.
Every game EA produces has a tacked-on multiplayer?
BF4 is a clear example of the opposite of that. And in that game, it's more the community's problem.
