Good for it! I'm slowly getting accustomed to the controls and the more I play it the more I enjoy it.

You can't convince me that DAI is a good game because it have a lot of GOTY, just as you can't convince me that Justin Bieber is a good singer because he have a lot of fans.

Justin Bieber wins a lot of Grammys, does he?

How on gods green earth is ME3 at 5, game is completely overrated and a joke in comparison to the 1st two games. :crying:

Also not much competition and a lot of games bombed like Destiny for instance. I like DAI although it's not my GOTY, Dark Souls II has that title.

A lot of people seem to be missing their Bioware checks. Should have gone for direct deposit. I was able to buy a new car with all the voting I did.

Considering the high chance of CTDs during cutscenes and the wartable, it does not deserve any award.

Oh, you CTD regularly?

What are you playing on. If it's a toaster, and you're b*tching, I'll laugh.

Not grammys, but, rather frighteningly, other awards, yes:

Games where you can close your eyes and "hold right trigger to win" should always be GOTY. Hopefully in the sequel to DA:I combat is fully controlled by the AI instead of just near completely automatic. Oh, and it should have >95% boring filler content instead of just 80%.

GAME OF THE CENTURY MILLENIUM.

GAME OF THE CENTURY MILLENIUM.

Games in general are just easy these days(inb4darksouls). Even Mass Effect 2 which you list as the second best BioWare game I found extremely easy on Insanity as every class. Hell, I would call it even easier than Inquisition on higher difficulties.

Although even in Origins and Dragon Age 2, you could use the tactics menu to make the AI almost play the game for you. This isn't exactly a new feature =P

You didn't have to use tactics, but you can also turn off auto use of all abilities on your teammates in Inquisition which you apparently didn't do despite hating it being on.

Has there been any new info on the number of units DA:I has sold?

Unfortunately not for a while :(

Well this one surprised me, but DA: I just won IGN GOTY. Surprising because their review gave it an 8.8 and didn't make it sound like their GOTY. I suppose those other than the reviewer thought more highly of it.

Also sure to enrage some: it won Best PC and Best RPG, lol.

A very bad direct console port won their PC GOTY.

Quite obvious that they are full of ****. Same thing with DA2 and ME3. I wouldn't be surprised if they are on EA's payroll:lol:

How do you explain them winning the Gamespot PC Reader's Choice GOTY award?

I guess that is because gamespot is full of console kiddies who love "hold right trigger to win" combat and games that are 80% filler content.

But the game is failing commercially anyway, so who cares. It is selling terribly for a very expensive AAA game. I am not surprised either.

I will quote the users on NeoGAF: "RIP Dragon Age"

The same tired arguments even after they've been rebuffed by a) every sales figure released and B) the devs themselves. You're still in the 1st stage I see XD

Which sales figures? You mean the chart data where DA:I fails to chart or is in the 20th or 30th position because it is selling very badly for a very expensive AAA game?

The word is out that the game ain't so hot.

(In before imaginary numbers from VGchartz)

Not that I hate DAI or anything.  But GOTY awards doesn't really say much besides "these guys paid to have an opinion had an opinion"

This.

GOTY awards shouldn't mean anything.

If a game is GOTY then you decide if its your game of the year or not. Simple as. For me it was Dark Souls 2. It's the only game that released last year that I played through several times because I felt compelled to keep going back for more. I have only played through Original Sin, Middle Earth and Inquisition once each and whilst I will probably play them eventually again, that will be unlike DkS2 which I kept going back to straight away after finishing a playthrough.

The other games that released last year just didn't compel me enough to immediately go back for a second playthrough. I think with Inquisition, this happened because I explored all the areas thoroughly and did a-lot of the optional side crap before realizing all the side quests were filler fetch quest content so its kinda put me off from a second playthrough for a while. Next time I'm solely sticking to the main quests with limited exploration.
