Yes, you've probably seen this one before.

But to bolster support and show my own, I will say it again!

Please, please, pleeeaaasase allow us to continue our story with Solas - using our Inquisitor. I romanced him and was so entranced in the story. When he said we had to focus on the big battle and should hold off on any further romance, I rushed through the final battle, because I was much more interested in the development in the characters' relationship. I was really looking forward to, I think his words were, "everything being made crystal clear". But nothing was!

Solas gave me ONE LINE and left. And then, talking with Leliana, I got the idea that he'd be popping back up at any time. So like the sad sap I am, I rushed my way through the celebration party, and up to my quarters, hoping to find him there. Nothing. Then after seeing the scene with he and Flemeth, I checked the eluvian. Nothing. I ran around looking for him - to no avail.

A character that leaves the story, as part of the story is one thing. It's sad, but understandable. But in this case, it seems less like that and more like "Welp, ran outta time. Make him disappear into the great beyond. Yeah. Neat." I saw the little clip somewhat explaining where he'd gone, but my poor Inquisitor has no idea. I'd (and I know many others of the "Wolf Pack") would love, love, love to have some DLC where my Inquisitor at least, finds out the truth about Solas, and at best, is able to make a decision for herself on how she'd like to proceed with this info. And jeeeeez, Solas' tombstone said his biggest fear is dying alone. An apparently age old character who has seen and been through everything imaginable. Let us help him.

I'm so heartbroken over how it ended! I need closure. Preferably happy closure, but anything more in terms of sooner-than-later, Solas-related story content would do. I know you guys thrive on player tears (haha :P) but.. pleasssseeee. I'm 5 minutes away from shaving my boyfriend's head and having him adopt a Welsh accident, just to comfort me. *cough*

I know this is asking alot, but this is your fault for doing such a beautiful, nuanced job of writing his story. Thank you so much for that. He's been my favorite character in any of your (and others') games. But you've left me wanting more.

tl;dr: I want a Wolf Hunt DLC. :)

I didn't get any impression of Solas' disappearance having anything to do with 'running out of time' it was very much part of his story.  Saying that,  I think tracking down Solas could be something that all Inquisitors should have an interest in.

His parting words to the Inquisitor suggest that whatever he's planning, will at least challenge how the inquisitor who was a friend or LI will view him and he wants them to know that he was true in his feelings and respect for them.

It would be very strange if there is no closure or further development in the the story of Solas and the Inquisitor and I will be hugely disappointed if that turns out to be the case.  I 100% support this being part of an expansion or large DLC and hope that the ultimate outcome will allow for some varieties in outcome and that not all of them are piling heartbreak on more heartbreak...some hard won happiness would be just grand!

I don't think we have to beg for this DLC, it's probably the one story thread we know of that they already have a planned continuation for.

Solas's story seems like it'll dovetail into the greater plot for DA4, and that's fine as long as we get to resolve the Inquisitor's role in his story.  For example, Morrigan's story is obviously not done as of Witch Hunt since she reappears in Inquisition, but the relationship between her and the Warden gets resolved much sooner.  That's all I ask for in Wolf Hunt DLC.

When you speak with him after the final romance scene, if you ask if he'll speak with you after Corypheus is defeated, he says "If we are both still alive afterward, then I promise you, everything will be made clear." He's being intentionally vague/ misleading (clever use of passive voice here). He does not plan to explain anything to you, but implies things will become clear, probably through his actions.

But regardless of all that, I'd love some story DLC that allowed us to speak with Solas. It would be great if we got some closure for the romance.

I am pretty sure Solas is being set up as a "villian" for either an expansion/DLC or a whole new game or both.   I didn't romance him but I still like him and like to see my Inquisitor confront him for what he really is.  Btw, I really like his character.

Ooh I really hope they don't make him the main villain. I may be in the minority on this, but I didn't get the impression that he was truly evil. Misguided perhaps, maybe a little too arrogant in thinking he could play Corypheus and the Inquisitor off each other to some degree, but not necessarily evil. If his intentions are to free his people, or help the elves, is that so bad? Either way, I really hope there's some good resolution between Solas and the Inquisitor (whether or not they were in a romance) because it certainly seems like it's necessary.

Meee toooo.

I'm on my cell atm so this' ll be short, but yeah. I didnt get the feeling he was evil. I think he's dutiful. I think he is capable of making tough decisions based on the greater good. Hes thoughtful.

I would love a new "villian" who wasnt black and white though. And Solas would be a perfect fit for that. Itd be wonderful for the player to decide whether theyd like to side with him or fight against him, both strengthening and breaking relationships with the various companions and aquaintances.

Maybe he could become more or less villainous depending on whether you support or abandon him!

THIS! This seems like it could be so cool :D and we'd have a hand in creating our own villains if we wanted, which would be insanely awesome.

Probably more like "antagonist." A character whose goals and actions happen to conflict with the PC, but who is himself not necessarily evil or irredeemable.

If BioWare can let us oppose and depose Loghain but not execute him (and, in fact, make him a party member who survives past the game if we so choose), and let us spare the Architect so he can go on performing his dubious experiments, and let us spare Anders after he blows up the Chantry, we should be able to oppose or stop whatever terrible thing Solas might try to do, without having to kill him or banish him forever.

I'd love the chance to be able to forgive or redeem Solas when the time finally comes for the PC to learn what he intends, even if we have to oppose some or all of his plan first.

Solas is one of the most interesting character in all DA, I don't think I'd be able to kill him in a dlc or in the next game. He has so much potential.

My inquisitor needs to see him again and get some closure, so if we're going with the "different game, different hero" route, wolf hunt DLC is a must in my book!

Agreed.

I don't mind him as ally/neutral/antagonist in any way, I just hope they don't give him the Anders treatment, who went from charming, quirky and loveable to utterly despicable, traitorous madhouse bastard.

DA needs more shades of grey.

I doubt Solas will be resolved in DLC. I think you will need to wait DA4 Return of elven "gods".

And Bioware please make it true. Solas is Shartan. leader of the elven slaves who joined Andraste's rebellion against the Tevinter Imperium in around 1020 TE.

Cassandra would get heart attack

Solas: There is no Maker. I am maker I speak to Andraste in her dreams. Oh and I am not done, Andraste was mage. :P

Bioware has turned Dragon Age into a soap opera with these romances.... now that I mention it I wonder if Varric is going to finally release his newly written romance novel "The mage and the Templar" ? I think it's going to be a smashing hit. It's going to be just as good if not better than hard in hightown.

Definitely. I don't want to come back to him being a jerk. We all like him because of his awesome personality, and for his strong belief in shades of grey. That's why I think he'd be a great "antagonist" (and I say that in quotes for a reason.) It'll divide players just like mages vs templars. You'll either wanna take him down, or you'll give in to your feels. =p

NO!

I love Shartan and I love Solas, but I don't think they are nor do I want them to be the same character.

Just because he's revealed to be the Dread Wolf doesn't mean he needs to be every other significant elf in Thedas history.

I have a theory that Solas named himself after the city between Tevinter and Nevarra.  It makes sense if you think about it.
