Obvious troll thread is obvious  <_<

Giant hole in the sky? No problem.

Ancient madman hell-bent on vengeance? No big deal.

Corruption among the Grey Warden ranks? Meh.

Demons falling from the sky? Could be worse.

Someone throws a bottle on the ground? OMG HOW COULD YOU BIOWARE!?!?!

Seriously, is this thread a joke? Get over it. It's a video game. Clearly it is set in medieval times and they would not know the consequences of such littering, but even so, your reaction is a bit over the top. I mean, is it really hurting you? If so, I'd advise you to get a new hobby, because you clearly take video games way too seriously.

Except the fact that you OVERCOME these demons, Grey Wardens, and the rift in the end. You never stop littering. Its never addressed.

And Dragon Age is not "medieval". Its set in a fictional world that is technologically more advanced than medieval times. I'm sure that littering is recognized in Thedas.

My dwarf archer's giving it a pretty good effort, though.  How about no potions after getting Skyhold, will that ease the environmental concerns?  This environmental PSE brought to you by Medium Armor of the Dragon with Heal-on-Hit, and Bow of the Dragon with Generate-Guard-on-Hit.

As for my companions, you'll have to take it up with them.  Solas and Varric in particular appear to have an addiction.

The issue with this is that I never kill animals in games (dragons included), so I can't craft with dragon materials, fully knowing that I killed a dragon.

Awww man, why did you have bring that up? Now I will have to imagine a poor Nug scraping his little paw/hand/whatever on a broken flask and dying horribly from an infection.

Ok, that's it, rest of the playthrough will be done without use of potions.

Er... humans are animals.

Humans are the most advanced animals who pretty much control the state of other animals. The animals in dragon age are innocent and moral free. I like that you are not forced to kill any animals in this game. If killing animals in video games is for you, go ahead, but if its not, DA:I accomodates. I applaud you, BioWare. But this littering nonsense is unacceptable. Mr.Fob gives a great example...

I didn't (yet B) ) - just used the schematics.  It's still the first schematic for Dragon goods.  Of course, I did use Bear Hide for the armor, though....

As glass is in fact a liquid, you just have to wait patiently for it all to flow away and form a magnificent glass lake. Then you can coat it in silver to reflect light which would otherwise be absorbed by the surface and turned into heat energy. So leaving glass where it lands is in fact environmentally sound.

Oh boy, you're going to die if you don't drink this and toss the empty bottle on the ground but, you'll die because you refuse to be a litter bug at all, even to save your life? I have a better sense of self preservation than that. Sure take care of the land, the environment but NOT at the expense of my or my family's (companions) well being. (And yes that extends to killing wildlife when I need those mats.)

Tell you what...  Pretend that those 10,000 credit influence documents that are sold in Skyhold are "littering" credits.    That way you can litter to your hearts content and still feel good about yourself by paying for it.

You can choose not to kill a single animal in this game. You cannot however complete this game without using health potions.

Yes you can. It's just a little harder. But, I mean, if you and your inquisitor really really love the planet...

You know what?  I actually do kind of hate that my Inquisitor just throws his empty bottles on the ground.  It's bothered me since the first time I saw it and it still irks me everytime I see it.  It's certainly not something I'd rage about, but since someone else brought it up, I don't mind mentioning that it's irritating to me.

And a friend actually told me that he really liked the sound effect and the animation of the shattering glass.

The gall of some people.

I mean at this rate DA:17 is going to be about saving Thedas from the effects of evil greenhouse gasses.

Ban dihydrogen monoxide.

It's the number one greenhouse gas.

That's it! Start a new thread. Petition against littering in DAI. Save our Thedas. We can have a 'Crying Elf' as brand ambassador. You know, a single tear drop falling from his eye when he sees the trash the Inquisitor leaves in his/her wake....

It'll be awesome.

You can't set foot anywhere today without stepping on someone being offended about something. I mean, can we escape the real world just for a couple of hours a day?

There is no lore explaining that and I highly doubt it. Yes, I am serious. I care about the planet and the littering in Inquisition sets a bad precedent on top of breaking character immersion.

I had no idea how badly I needed a laugh before reading your response here. "Breaking character immersion" in a fictional video game, taking this as a bad precedent, worrying about missing lore over how the digital realm handles make believe litter?

Wow; I'm actually writing laughing out loud here, rather than the usual abbreviation, in honor of how much hilarity I drew from this. Thanks!
