Pick and character and one of the listed powers below does it impact their story at all? For the sake of argument he only gives his powers to the good guys of your choice, but only one power per person, This can be at any time during their series if you think it would offer a better or worse outcome.

Just in case you don't know what powers specifically, ill list the likely usable powers. Again only one power per person and they get the whole package with that power.

1.) Strength: This includes Super Leaping as well as his hitting and lifting strength.

2.) Speed: This includes all body movements, legs, fingers, hands, arms, if it's a extremity the person can move it at superman speed.

3.) Vision: This includes all his ocular powers, heat vision, microscopic, telescopic, x-ray, infra-vision, ect ect ect. They have it to the same degree Superman has ever used it to, this also includes speed seeing for a like of a better term, the person will be able to see fast moving objects or even be able to read books at faster than normal speeds, though their body might not be able to react or keep up, it's all dependant on the person.

4.) Invulnerability: Also includes Fast Healing for the things that actually do hurt him though this requires yellow sunlight to keep working at optimal conditions, the fast healing part, not the invulnerability part. This power set also gets the Aura, meaning that anything the person is touching and that they want to subconsciously keep safe is also protected by the invulnerability power, but they have to be making skin to skin contact.

5.) Super Brain: All mental facilities are super, the person thinks faster than a computer, can process information within a fraction of a second and can retain a infinite amount of information, they know everything that Superman knows in terms of knowledge. This includes fighting styles, machinery, science, and everything else he knows.

6.) Super Senses: Other than Sight, the person has all of Superman Super Senses, Smell, Hearing. I'm going to leave the Super Taste out of this, because while im sure in his world they worked to do something i dont see it happening here in Naruto. Super Touch is something like him kissing people and them forgetting selective memories he wants them to forget. (Donner Movie, lol)

7.) Super Breath: Basically this should be under super strength, as the lungs could be considered a muscle but anyway, lets not over think this. Super Breath is his freeze breath, and general super strong wind he produces when exhaling with force. Also I'll add Super Voice control, and shouting to this power.

8.)Flight: Standard Super Flight, can fly up to speeds exceeding light speed, however without the invulnerability aura, unless the person has shown to be able to resist that kind G.Force, they may kill themselves. heh.

How does this change any particular character or story outcome?

How?

and furthermore why?

This is the equivalent of someone ripping off their leg and giving it to someone who doesn't need it for no legitimate reason.

Supermans powers aren't Pokemon cards, can't just give them away. It's apart of his biology.

You are thinking about this way to hard. :) lol it's meant to be thought provoking, it isn't meant to be some kind of profound question to solve the problems of the universe. Now participate. :)

1.) With the power of Super Science.

2.) Because he's Superman and he wants a break, and since any one person having all his powers would likely turn evil, he decided it might be less tempting or less impossible to stop such a person by instead spreading the love, and giving multiple people a taste of what its like to be Superman.

Superman has on occasion given other people Super Powers, most recently having given Lois powers equal to his for a day.

This is an oxymoron if I ever did hear one.

Didn't realize you edited this.

1. What is this the silver age? Is Batman gonna get a Zebra suit and The Flash is gonna use a treadmill to time travel?

2. Couldn't he just ask Captain Marvel (Or Shazam now I guess) to take over for a bit? There's almost a billion different alternatives that don't require genetically maiming yourself.

You mean in All Star Superman? The Elseworlds story based heavily on the Silver Age.

It's a great story but I don't use it for canon basis.

Really? The ones I go to we usually talk about the movies or Tv shows.

Can't believe there was a guy today who actually LIKES Gotham.

nope..do you by chance work for BioWare? I'm assuming since because you are on this board, you played their games and thus know stuff about them, so clearly you must work for BioWare. See I draw far reaching conclusion too.

Unless im writing for DC comics im almost certain this hypothetical isn't going to be canon anytime soon either. Also those responses were to another person who clearly wanted way more information than I thought a honest hypothetical question about Superman and other fictional characters merited. It's a off topic topic, why already derail it?

That'd be your idea for a storyline? Yeeesh, good luck getting that past the editors.

It has no basis in logic.

You wish to ask a question. But it's a question that hardly makes sense within the universe it's based in where better alternatives exist.

You can try to take the easy way out by pointing out they're fictional characters. But that's what 5th graders who lose arguments do.

This is worse than the Internets many "Who would win in a fight" arguments.

Also the best way to keep from derailing the thread in all honesty was too ignore me. People never seem to consider this an option.

I was just asking because I have spent hundreds of hours in comic book stores.... and this was the type of thing we would talk about. My post was not meant as a slight. I also have quite a collection of comics myself.

You seem a wee bit defensive. I meant no disrespect.

I don't think he actually has a super brain.

If he did, he would never have agreed to get rebooted in that new movie.

That was the one I meant.

Superman Returns: How to Completely Massacre the Character of Lois Lane.

(I suppose I'm aware that it's not a "reboot," but supposedly a true sequel to the first two films that ignores the events of Superman III and IV, but whatevah!)
