Hi guys,

I'm a lvl 13 Rogue Archer hoping to get the assassin sub-class. I've got everything, except one of the assassin tokens. I know where all three are supposed to be in Crestwood, but one of them (one near the dragon), didn't drop the token. Is this a bug? Is there anyone else I can get the token?

It's a bug, you may have to reload a previous save.  It happened to me and I didn't have a previous save.  However, I was farming bears in the Hitherlands and they're these two dual wield assassins that attack you out of nowhere every once on a while.  Out of pure luck I guess one of them dropped one.  I'm one my second playthrough and one of them dropped one while I was in the Hitherlands for the first time this game.

 

A friend of mine said he got on off a dual wield assassin in the Western Approach, I can't confirm in though.

I had issues as well but the fisher and hut didn't drop.

If you can't find it inCrestwoid. Go to Valamarr. Enter, save. Stealth to left of bridge. Kill assasin over on that side. Loot, took me 3 tries before he dropped medal.

I was able to loot an Assassin token from random "Stalker" type enemies as well.

I have all the tokens I need, but I can't figure out what the other items are that I need.  I made a dagger, but the journal didn't register that as completing that section of the quest.

I got it doing the Valammar cheat! Thanks for the help guys.

I got lucky, read about loads of people never being able to get it. My Archer Assassin Inquisitor is prepped to cause some massive carnage.

Glad it worked. I read about people doing it dozens of times as well. I dislike these specialization quests where there are so specifically X number of something in the world and you need X (short of farming). 

 

I couldn't find the one by the fisherman's hut (which I've seen a lot of people lose) but i almost lost the one by the lake in the north of the map because the assassin died in the water and when i entered to try and pick it up I drowned. I had to fidget around a lot to try and find the spot where i could both not drown and pick up the token.

The assassin groups near the coast have a bad habit of drowning themselves before you even arrive. So if they aren't there, search ping along the water for the loot drop. I've never actually seen the second group alive before. Its always just loot in the water I have to wade in a little to pick up.

 

They also from drop Carta assassins in Valammar, White Claw assassins in Western Approach and from Carta assassins during Varric's quests. But those are random chance.
