I would also love to see the Inquisitor's journey continue in some form!
I see no reason for them to feel forced to churn out a new protagonist every time they make a game, and there's still a lot of potential for interesting story and character developments regarding the Inquisitor and their companions.

I'd be happy with a lengthy dlc. Reuse all the areas, I dont care. Its the story im hooked on. Not ready to fast forward to the next protagonist.
... and continue the Solas romance. =p
Continue the Solas romance? That might get a little weird.

I dunno...I have faith Bioware could pull off something cool with it. Some of the scenes with Solas are really well done (in terms of developing your own character, and learning more of the world around you, not in terms of a sexual nature (although those are fine too XD))

I've said this before on these forums, but I really feel that the Inquisitor was the only protag to have a story that's still got lots of room to grow. The others had their ending that I was okay with, while Inquisition truly felt like the start of something - not just beginning, middle, and end. I think that now that the Inquisitor's got this power, now that they've got the armies and experience, they can continue to do even more in the grander scheme of Thedas. And personally, that's a story I'd very much like to see continued.

I still cant get over how fun my loyalist mage inquisitor has been to play, and im not ready to say goodbye just yet!
Also, will my Dalish inquisitor find her Solas?
Will my Tempest still get to wade in, smash a glass and make a mess????

If the sales numbers say anything you probably will get to do all those things again.

Aside from DLC, I don't see why they can't just make an expansion again like they did with Awakening

I think the issue with the expansion is that since it's typically not a full blown game, they can't charge the full price for it as they would with a sequel or stand alone (although I thought Awakenings was decently lengthy). However, it takes just as much, if not more, effort to create it. Therefore, it's not necessarily the most cost efficient path they can take. I assume they'll either decide there's no need for an extremely long explanation involving the Inquisitor and use DLCs, or (and this is what I think may be more likely), they'll find that there's in fact too many threads to tie off with the Inquisitor and just make a sequel ^.^

I wouldn't mind seeing The Inquisitor as the protagonist in DA4, provided Bioware doesn't go the DA2 route and force the character to be human.

We need a Dragon Age: Inquisition, Return of the Dread Wolf or something. Kind of how we had AC: Brotherhood.

So I think as every Dragon Age, the next one will be about a new cast, but we will get an inquisitor canoe or reference here and there, and we might see Cassandra, Vivienne or Leliana again, and definitely hear about Varric and the rest too.

I thnk we will get some DLCs and an expansion pack. After that is done, the next game will be an MMO.

Pardon me, but if I have to wait for the next full Dragon Age game to get closure and answers to the blatant dangling plot threads in Inquisition, I'll be rightly pissed off.
I LOVE Inquisition, but it is filled to the brim with ambiguous non-answers, plot gaps, and lore revelations that are given zero conclusion. I expect these to be properly addressed in DLC installments. Which is even then a bit of a dick move on Bioware's part.
But if we get "Hey! Those were some neat-o questions and mysteries we raised, eh kids? Be sure to tune in to our NEXT Dragon Age game to find out what it was all about!" I, and frankly many others, are going to blow a fuse.

The game does seem prime territory for a full expansion like Awakening ( though actually a directly connected continuation ). Not just parcel side story dlcs ala ME2-3. The world is so large there's still plenty that can be done with it and since its still "zoned" so to speak adding new zones doesn't present any major technical undertakens.

^ This! So much this!
DLC at the least. I want to see my IQ running over Thedas like a plague! I also want...

I feel like an Awakening-esque expansion would be appropriate to tie off any lose ends following DAI.
But no more.

I would not mind at all if the next game continues with the Inquisitor. I prefer stories that cross multiple games than starting as a new protagonist each time.

I think a lot of people feel this way because half of the game there are comments and questions about what you want your Inquisition to be when everything's done with Corypheus. That's in addition to the warning you get that people are going to try to destroy what's just been built up, soon enough. You get the impression there will be an "after".
Also, it seems like the entire storyline is setting the Inquisitor up for her/his first threat, but certainly not the greatest or the last. It feels like a prologue, basically, where the biggest challenge is teaching the Inquisitor to be a leader and figuring out what kind of leader she/he will be.
Now people want to see the head of the Inquisition face a crisis that requires the utilization of the forces we built but never actually get to see in action (I bought a bunch of accords in addition to doing all sorts of menial fetch quests and war table missions only to find out that having 400+ power points means nothing).
It stands to reason that people want to see the Inquisitor's leadership abilities, military power, resources and connections truly put to the test in a second game.
The thing is, it's one thing to play a hero who ascends to the role of leader. it's another thing to play that leader after the fact. Commander Shepard ran a ship, not a country or a planet. I'm not sure I can think of any RPG game where the protagonist is basically a King or a Queen of some massive power (other than this one, anyway) and making important moves in battle and politics. Some may not feel that's compelling to continue with. Most would rather play a soldier in WWII than play Winston Churchill. Personally, I'd rather play a Churchill/soldier mashup.

I've heard people say that Bioware will always have a new main character with each game, but I feel they spent so much time developing this one and the Inquisition that it would be a shame not to continue it.
They could easily start your new character, and team, working within the inquisition and your Inquisitor is now a background character that you interact with a lot.
I just hope they aren't doing the next thing from the ground up, I'm hoping the next game utilizes a lot of content already made and just expands on what we already have (new locations, updated old locations) and that it comes out sooner, rather than much later. This would only help them make more money off of this game.
