Hey guys, so i was recently messing around with some settings in the audio and display options. After messing up the settings a bit, i decided to reset the options, not realizing that it would reset my difficulty to normal. I immediately loaded a save before i messed with the options and deleted the auto save in which I had lowered the difficulty to normal.

Does anyone know if I can still get the trophy for beating the game on nightmare without lowering the difficulty? Or am i gonna have to wait for another playthrough to get that?

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

While I can't attest to this from personal experience, yes, you should be fine. The information as to whether you've changed the difficulty would be stored in the save files, so if you start from a save file where you haven't changed it, future saves will record it as unchanged as well.

Yikes, good luck. Everyone who gets this trophy have my admiration. I finished DA II on nightmare but this....I don't dare to do it, specially with such weak tactical cam and AI. I have no patience to go beyond normal.

I skipped NM on DA2 as I loathed the random immunities (eg; all Mabaris are immune to Fire); found it broke immersion for me. But after re-mapping the controls and Options, and getting some practice with the new Tac-Cam and AI settings, I managed to get the first campaign completed on NM. And I am disabled, so others should fare better and much faster than my 250+ hrs.

This was first Dragon Age I completed on nightmare and it was surprisingly fun. Don't know if I could've done without playing KE though :D But OP, I hope you get the trophy. I was so paranoid that I constantly checked that difficulty was still on nightmare.

I was a newcomer to the franchise and completed a nightmare run on my second playthrough. It was an occasional challenge until about level 16, then it seemed fairly easy. I did however go the Knight Enchanter route and I did plenty of research on combos, maxing my gear and tactics. Didn't seem that over-whelming to me, so don't let it psych you out too much. ;)

I spent 250+ hours on my first PT on "Normal", so congrats!  :)

Doing my second on "Hard".

We'll see if I try for the NM Trophy after that.  ;)

Nice work.

Advanced combat in this game is definitely not user-friendly at first (needs some fixing), but with some fiddling and practice it can be overcome. The game's combat flow feels natural to me at this point and I'm playing on Nightmare + Friendly Fire.

My only lingering issue is the limited tactical camera panning which has been acknowledged.

I readily admit not utilizing FF quite yet, as seemingly weapons, Talents, and Spells all have AoE's waiting to kill the Inquisitor. But I have plenty of practice in NM from DAO, and Hard Difficulty in DA2 from multiple sessions that allowed me to pursue NM for DAI. And without the floating Feedback graphics on, it seems more cinematic to me; any Difficulty might benefit here.
