I totally agree and I, too, would have prefered to use RadeonPro. To fiddle around with the settings in the configurator is not so nice in my opinion and I've noticed that is doesn't always work. But as I said above, RadeonPro didn't do the magic for me. I did everything that you describe (and that the two tutorials I linked also described) and yet there was no visible effect :( . Over the past two days I have really tried everything, so I'm glad that my workaround works somehow for me. It's far from being ideal.

Did you try my workflow link? Also, I would try using a different injector. I can confirm that the injector I linked to in my workflow works with RadeonPro (as I am using it). The author of the preset I use has it available for download:

Okay, I ran into another problem, but just a small one. I used the configurator and in the "SweetFX Injector Settings" I assigned the screenshot function to the "Num Lock" button. I did this so SweetFX wouldn't interfere with the "print" button since this is the game's own button for taking screenshots. If I run the game now and press "print" I get two screenshots. One screenshot is in my C:Documents\BioWare folder, the other one is in where SweetFX is installed (D:Program Files\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition). It's a bit annoying because I have to clean the Dragon Age Inquisition folder now every time I take screenshots from unwanted duplicates. I don't understand why this is happening because the SweetFX configurator should only take screenshots if I press the "Num Lock" button. Any advice? Is there at least the possibility to tell the configurator where to store the screenshots? This way I could create a new folder for them. I didn't find an option for that.

I also wanted to leave my first screenshot here. I still have to get the hang of it but  I'm having so much fun with this that I will never be able to finish my second playthrough  . Poor Cassandra had to wait an hour until my IQ got her picture taken.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see your post, Melissa. Yes, I've tried that and it didn't work. I'm willing to try it one more time tomorrow :).

Sorry, I can't be of any help with customizing the screenshot settings via SweetFX configurator. I was unable to get that to work at all and was forced to use the in-game print-screen function. It technically worked, but it was very slow and made scenes hitch.

With RadeonPro you can pick any toggle key you'd like (I use the + key on the num pad). It doesn't make scenes hitch at all and fires rapidly for shots in quick succession.

I just got Radeon Pro, and tweaked around a bit, using SweetFX too. So, first thing I noticed is my modded pyjamas loose their colours waist down. I can live with that.

Second thing is that - whatver tweak I use, even if I disable all tweaks - I get severe problems with V-Sync. Cutscenes look horrible now and I can't figure out why.

A clue would be much apprechiated.

Sorry, I wish I could be of some help but I don't have either of those issues. My game looks just fine with or without v-sync, windowed or full screen. Are you using RadeonPro for anything other than SweetFX? Have you tried a different SweetFX/Injector thru RadeonPro to make sure it's not just the Injector?

I only tried it with Inquisition. Didn't check on another Injector, because I also got the problem with SweetFX disabled.

If I start the game just without RadeonPro I don't have that problem.

Thanks anyway :)

That's so weird! So many folks seem to have problems with it. I guess I'm just lucky...  :(

Has anyone experienced any issues with RadeonPro crashing their game? I'm running Win 8.1 and so far I like RadeonPro the best for injecting shaders, but every time I try to take a screenshot with it, it immediately and completely crashes my game.

I had also tried running it as Administrator, but after clicking OK on all of the warning messages, it just never loads up the program (but does load the background support process according to task manager). So I had to turn off UAC completely to get it to work.

I haven't been able to find any information on this particular issue, after searching online for a few days.

Due to the crashing issues, I've been trying to use ReShade, but not really having much luck. The shader presets and hotkeys don't register, even though ReShade itself is loaded with the game (all confirmation text shows upon launch).

SRWE moves the camera a little bit when I increase the resolution for pics:

Correct shot:

SRWE 4k shot:

And MSI Afterburner doesn't save screenshots in 4k, for me at least.

I've just started p0laying with the Cinematic Tools and I'm having a ball. :) Except for one problem- I keep getting lost switching between free camera and the game...lol!

Is there something I should be doing to make the camera keep up with my character when I move him, or is it normal to play catch up?

Just came out of one really long hunt for him in the Hinterlands lol!

ETA: Worked it out by accident- just stand by LOOT! lol!

I had this problem once with RadeonPro. It took me forever to fix it, and it wasn't RadeonPro. What ended up fixing it for me was doing a repair install of DA: I. Somehow my game had gotten corrupted, but it would run fine...til I tried to take a screenshot. Repairing the install worked perfectly.

In regards to SWRE, are you using the presets that are provided alongside with the download? I would make sure they are the same AR.

Ah, I'll just uninstall/reinstall DAI then. I figure going that route rather than a repair will fix any issues at all, including with file structure (since I've been messing with SFW/ReShade/other mods that require manually adding in files to the game directory).

I was able to figure it out today! When I had set the resolution back from 4k, i used the same command that was displayed before I changed anything. It seems setting to "Float32" rotated the camera a bit. I set it to 1.0 and everything was fine.

Thanks for the suggestion and help!

My problem is a bit different. I can take screenshots, but movie-screening doesn't work. Well, actually it does, but when I end the video-recording, I get a ctd.

If you click "Reset" under the "Free Camera" tab it will snap the camera back to your controlled character. Very occasionally it will bug out and reset it so it's clipped through the map -- if that happens just click reset again until it works.

RadeonPro does more than just inject SFX, it's intended to do a whole host of things with your video card and driver, etc (which of course you don't need, since you're only using it to inject SFX). It could be that there's a setting somewhere that is ticked that shouldn't be. I only ever tried to use RadeonPro once in the very distant past (it didn't work for me) so I'm afraid I can't remember what all those settings might be. I did just find this, which may be of some use -- at the very least it might be a starting point.

Hey, thanks for that, you've saved me a lot of pointless flying. :)

Cheers.

Welp, nothing worked. I even made sure that Windows was completely up-to-date, did a reboot of everything, and it still crashes when I try to take a screenshot. Also, whenever I close the program, if I try to open it again it only shows as open in Task Manager, without actually opening up the program to use (and I've tried ending all processes related to it). I'll have to mess around with ReShade then some more to try and get that to apply shaders properly.

A friend from flickr made a video showing him setting up and shooting a dragon fight, if you're at all interested. This is the same as how I shoot fights, staying in freecam the whole time, pausing, moving the camera, letting the fight play for a frame or two, pausing, etc.

I had SweetFx on an old computer-ran fine.

Now I have a new rig, did The RadeonPro, injected SweetFX.

The issue is: It shows SweetFx is On/Off but there is NO difference. Its as if the file is attached but blank...if you get my meaning.

So my husband and I are scratching our heads as to what the issue is. If anyone knows, please let us know.

Oh and use the crayon and paper instructions too. :P

Could someone point to a tutorial on the Character Lighting options for the cinematic tools? So far every video I find re: cinematic tools just skips the character lighting or goes by it quickly like, "here's this, we assume you know how all that works, moving on." I tried changing the settings after enabling it but nothing seemed to change in the game.

Nothing changes even if you pick a diff color on the color dropdown?

Are you enabling?

Catabuca did do a little tutorial on here on their blog - amoebae @ tumblr .. Maybe that will be helpful? :)

@catabuca Hope u dont mind me linking it

I tried changing the top and bottom light colors, and toggling the enable checkbox on and off to see any changes, but didn't notice anything.

Thank you for that tumblr post link, it's a good read, and for this I kinda prefer text tutorials over youtube vids. I'll give it another try this weekend!

@Soulflare I have to agree, i learn more from reading tutorials, tips n' tricks and by playing around myself with these tools... rather than just following what someone else do in a video - normally its all depending on what you see on ur screen anyway...so one can really only start off with basics and then try around themselfs.

Did you pick a mode? Normally you would want to go with blend rather than add for a more natual look.

I am finally playing on my pc, and i wanted to take a picture of my beautiful quizzy, Nadal.  I downloaded DAI Cinematic Tools, and read the tiny readme file...when i press the keys on my keypad nothing happens - and yes, i have numlock ON as they say to.  I can use the page up and down keys to change FOV, but even the arrow keys do nothing.  So I can get in nice and close, but she's at the very bottom of my screen lol...I'm not technically inept, but sometimes i need to be pointed in the right direction and given a gentle shove.   Any shovers here?  Help!
