I actually found myself really liking the crafting system once I got used to it!
While I didn't use it a whole lot early in the game (tier 1 schematics and materials not beating out the looted items very often in quality), later on, I absolutely relished how much defense/utility/damage I could get out of my gear!
Some suggestions and one minor complaints to be considered:
I would love to see more class specific armor! Race was kind of eh (Like I understand why Sera was considered 'human-trained' but I did waste a lot of gold on that Dalish schematic before I realized), but I liked how varied the armor could be when it was specialized (forever love the Dalish scout armor on my Lavellan
)
The way we could adjust the look of the arms and legs was also great! It definitely made it feel like I had more of a choice in how my character looked, without necessarily sacrificing overall quality. I would love to see more of this!
As for my minor complaint, I would say that even though the Inquisitor clearly had a set "look" they seemed to be going for, more variety between the classes would be good. I know that each class has at least one outfit that's fairly different from the others, but my qunari warrior's been wearing something that looks an awful lot like what my Trevalyan mage was wearing near end game. While not too bad, I do think it a little silly that either my Adaar is going into battle extremely casual, or my mage is a touch paranoid
Anyhow, I would definitely say the crafting system is a lot of fun, and I totally encourage the devs (if they see this XD) to consider adding arm/leg slots to all armors in the future, since I think it's a great touch.
What did everyone else think? Suggestions? Ideas?
