The fear goes for too long, it props too quick, you can be feared straight after being revived it is immune to 99% of cc yet has insane cc damage and manoeuvrability please nerf either the cooldown between each time it can go underground so it has to take more damage, or nerf the damage, please i have beat it many times but it is just annoying the way that it plays.

Can you post a picture of the monster you're talking about? That is news to me, and I'm not sure which opponent fits your description.

You should be sprinting, it´s 100% guaranteed you can avoid its jump.

I don’t have enough stamina for sprinting,so I am just doing quick dashes.

Tried that, and jumping, I am jumping, too. He could get me anyways, because reality sometimes is pretty laggy.
The most annoying part is though, when I come back home with all stuff and the goddamn key has not dropped.

Use a spirit resistance potion. It's area effect so can get your entire party. Lasts 150 seconds too I think. It cuts dc pop attack damage way down.
Look, I tried every potion in my inventory. Red wine, Baley´s, Jack Daniels, even a typical German beer. That goddamn Demon Commander just pops out and destroys me, it is just too OP!
But you know, if at least I could exit the landscape after a run! But that no-key bug! And when I then ask my wife (who usually always is group leader) to leave the party, my whole life would hang up and I would end up at the starting screen with all progress lost and the kids gone. No chance! Why, oh why, Bioware!?!

Inexperienced players have gotten me killed more times on DC than any other reason.
Don't cluster up.
Don't rush off to opposite sides of the map and solo unless you're a fast mover and are clearing trash.
Don't ever rush in to revive someone when the DC takes them down. Staying alive is more important than being a hero. Use your brain and make sure it's clear first. Get barrier or guard first if possible.
If DC is aggroed on you, move away from the rest of the team and allow them to clear trash.
Spirit resistance potions rock against this guy.

Well, the kids are all not very experienced so I naturally want to cluster them at least a bit around to have some parental control. Unless they rush off to the toy department, that is. Better keep them away, now, too, until the Demon Commander gets patched up!

Ambush is a physical attack. It doesnt deal spirit damage.

Though it will half the ranged spirit attack, and cut the lethality of his attacks in half. Only have to deal with the physical portion, not the spirit damage, and the demon commander thread has most of the methods listed there.

I always drink spirit resistance because of Wraiths and DC ranged attack. I wish there was something cutting the physical damage though, because I think that the armor potion isn't worth much.

edit: Any potion below 80% alcohol is not worth the effort.
Irecommend this potion:

I predict that future threads complaining about the demon commander wont contain any useful information at all.
Does the search function on this forum actually work btw?

I know for a fact this isnt true. on my hunter i start sprinting as soon as the DC entered the fade/ground/whatever, and keep sprinting without pausing or being slowed when the smoke flares under me, and STILL get hit by the aoe because he moves to follow me even after the smoke. This -could- be lag, but its unlikely since it was a private game with friends. This is repeatable, not a one time thing as well. I used to be able to dodge this incredibly predictable attack with sprint, but it isnt so easy anymore. Bug or latency, either way something needs to be done.

It reduces by 65%, not half. It only applies to his ranged attack and his scream attack, both of which are even easier to avoid than the ambush.

You can't really KNOW.
It never happened to me either but I can't definitively and unequivocally state it doesn't happen to others. I have however been lag killed. Also how many new players even know how to sprint? No idea how often I see that in PUGS

I never use sprint. Since we are handcuffed to only have only 4 abilities, I can't justify using sprint as one of those 4 just in case I'm fighting demons.
