Note: this is just for fun, my list is personal and not "absolute" :D

I don't know whether similar topic had been made previously, can't find it anyway.

So, who's in which house? Here's my guess:

grbn.gif

Alistair, Cassandra, Cullen, Krem, Carver

hubn.gif

Josie, Varric, Cole, Bethany

Ravenclaw-banner-ravenclaw-198560_186_86

Leliana, Dorian, Minaeve, Dagna, Scout Harding

slbn.gif

Vivienne, Iron Bull, Solas, Morrigan, Sera

I can picture Wynne as Professor McGonagall.

What's your guess?

Sera would set off a firecracker under Viv before she even got to the sorting hat so she'd probably be expelled which would suit her just fine.

I would see Leliana in Slytherin, not Ravenclaw. She's a spy after all. I would see Josephine there as well because of her talent at intrigue.

Sera? In Slytherin?

You DO remember that a hundred percent of evil wizards in the history of Harry Potter came from Slytherin, right.

The entire house is pretty much a house of a-holes.

Sera is not an a-hole.

So isn't Leli, Cat! I think Ravenclaw suits her. I'll bring out my old copy of Philosopher's Stone and see what the Sorting Hat says about the houses.

Leliana's the hardest one to put actually, I kind of picture her between both houses. Josie's in SLytherin? Hmm interesting concepts

Gryffindors need more than warriors however!

Hoooooo! It's better that he's off bald then

I'd place Varric in Ravenclaw. Sure, he's extra nice and all, but also a smartass. Besides, Hufflepuff is about working hard first, and I can't say Varric is a hard worker. Also not sure about Carver: dat ambition! He might as well go to Slytherin.

I notice no one seems to have a suggestion for Hufflepuff. I sort of picture Josephine fitting in there better.

Being in Slytherin does not always make someone a villain IMO.

Snape's one of the best written character in Harry Potter series, a brave & courageous one, and he's definitely a slytherin to the end. But Rowling's always get a good hand on making each character 3 dimensional tho...

I put Bull & Sera in Slytherin because of Bull's Ben Hassrath story. Sera I can't picture her elsewhere.

Can't really see Sera or Vivienne in Slytherin tbh. Sera would probably be in Gryffindor and Vivienne would be a Ravenclaw, so would Josephine, those two are SMART.

I blame poor writing on that. *completely serious*

I put Viv in Slytherin due to her... seemingly manipulative nature (oh yeah, that you're my bess buddy then help me be divine conversation).

But anyway that was my guess. Please agree to disagree & don't hesitate to post your own list

I'm interested in knowing how people see them too

I don't see Sera rubbing shoulders too well with Slitherines neocons and shady customers. Sera's got too much heart for that crowd and too much honesty really. I don't think she'd dig going to Hogwarts anyway given her disapproval of magic and authority problems.

True, I forgot that most Slytherins are Pure Blood & will look down at Little People.

I'm sorry if my knowledge about Harry Potter lore a bit rusty, but if I remember correctly. Just a friendly reminder that even some in Gryffindor house can be a real A hole. James Potter I and Sirius Black used to bullying Snape in their fifth year.

That's the good thing about Rowling's HP characters. None are 2 dimensional blac-and-white depiction, they all fall to Grey Areas. Even Harry fall to the darker area often. And Snape, the Slytherin guy who is brave & courageous enough to merit a Gryffindor Badge Point, James & Sirius & Pettigrew who can really be an ass & cruel...

Sten said that People are not that simple. That's why being in Slytherin is not like being a bad guy, and being in Gryffindor does not make you a hero.

Agreed, and tbh it's annoy me how many people see the world, and other people as 2 dimensional black-and white depiction. The world is grey, and full of shades and colors, and people are not that simple to categorize.

You are the first person I see putting Leliana in Gryffindor. May I ask why? :)
