I voted Inquisition, but not lightly... I had to really think about it between Inquisition and Origins. In the end I decided I prefer the overall cast of Inquisition and the amazing size and beauty of the game, but Origins will always have a special place in my heart. (I also don't hate DA2 by any means, but yes, it is my least favorite of the three).

origins then inquisition and then the other one. i've still only ever done 1 playthrough of dragon age 2 and just hated it so much and couldn't bring myself to play through it a second time.
if i remember right it was the reason i made my account on here just to rant about how bad it was.
i want to give it another try but i just remember hating it so much that i can't be bothered to play after 30 seconds of gameplay.
is it as bad as i remember?

This is very unscientific but it's for fun so I voted anyway. All of them are great, DA2 is still my favorite. DA2>DAI>DAO. (Though really, DAI still has DLC coming and more playthroughs to explore).

No. I hated it at first too; I rage quit my first attempt. Now it's my favorite. Give it another chance if you have time to kill.

A month ago I would have said Origins but I have gotten really addicted to inquisition so now it is a tougher call between the two. Maybe I should do another Origins run.
I never hated DA2 and I had a lot of fun with it but for me it is definitely the weakest of the three. Just feels underwhelming compared to the other two.

Origins. Origins. Origins. Sure the graphics aren't nearly as high quality as DAI, but DAO's story is the only one that's made me physically emotional to the point that I couldn't focus on anything else for a week after I beat the game. Also, it's the only one that I've played A LOT of times. I played DA2 quite a bit too, but I don't think I'm going to get very many runs out of DAI because of all the tediousness in between the campaign. Basically, I think Bioware needs to combine the graphic quality of DAI with the story quality of DAO and DA2 to make the perfect DA game.

DA:I is way, way more tedious than DA2. At least with DA2 the missions are relatively easy to jump into and get through without any hassle or worrying about being at the proper level. 90% of the content in DA:I is a chore. I started a second Inquisitor and I only play for a half hour at a time just because it's such a boring grind.
I wish they'd implement a way for second playthroughs to skip all of the side quests.
Even in Mass Effect they let you re-use characters from previous campaigns.

I know alot of ppl hate DA2 but I loved it, I played it more than origins. Just the fact that Hawke actually spoke (no 1 way conversations) and the combat was so much better than origins.
But hands down without a doubt, origins has best story. DA2 has best combat, and DAI has best graphics...in my opinion.

If DA 2 had more time spent on it ie no recycled caves and dungeons and had been more polished in general it would have been the best of the three imo alas............ i still think it had the best story.
That's what I love about it, aside from the kinda shoe-horned big moment at the end and the infamous flaws that it had in terms of design. You're not trying to save the world. You're just an ordinary person with your family trying to survive during the Blight with some of the worst luck possible. While I stil miss the unique Origin stories they made for your Warden, DA 2's story felt like an epic one that spanned an entire game. I would've liked to have seen more opportunities to explore the background history of your Inquisitor - possibly through a special side quest - so that players could have a more personal connection to them.

The fact the story is told over 10 years period , seeing your character literally grow from a peasant to the champion is what i find very attractive about the game, every Act from 1 to 3 brought something new but you never felt like the events were ever disconnected.

I particularly loved the Qunari arc. The big reveal with Isabella was genius too. It totally fit her character.

Origins is the best for me. An epic story that made me fall in love with Zevran and Leliana Thedas and her inhabitants and the narrative drove the game all the way home. It's difficult to compare it to the other two games because they all feel distinctly different.
I enjoyed DA2 for the hack and slash it was. I fell in love with sarcastic female Hawke and the story being smaller in scope but more personal hit a sweet spot for me. The companions felt like family.
Game play wise I think Inquisition exceeds the other two in everything but the narrative. The vastness of the open world seems to overshadow the story and it feels small in comparison. After playing through it a few times I personally don't feel that connected to my inquisitors. Maybe it's the way they're introduced? Perhaps I'm missing the emotional investment that came from experiencing Hawke and her family flee the blight and living the warden origin stories.

For me, DA:O is one of the best games I have ever played. Up there with Baldur's Gate 2 when it comes to games that have completly immersed me, and that occupied lots of my thoughts even when not playingthem.
I am really enjoying DA:I though too, and hoping for some good DLC.
DA2 was ok. I played it, and enjoyed it well enough when doing so, but nothing struck me as being great in it. It did not leave a lasting impression and I never really felt attached to my Hawke.
So, DA:O > DA:I > DA2.

Voted for Origins. Better romance: Alistair and Morrigan. Origins stories are just awesome. You can be city elves, don't give 2 craps about Dalish elves. Tighter storyline. Recruiting actually means something since you can use them for the final battle. DAI, recruiting is like illusion of choices, nothing matter.

DA:2 through and through!
Enjoyed the fast-paced combat, the satisfying feeling of pummelling enemies and having copious amounts of blood fly everywhere...
Fetch quests were actually fun, often tied in with the main story itself.
Sarcastic female Hawke is by far the best PG. Especially when she delivers the most priceless lines... also appreciated how she actually bonds with the companions, feels like an actual friendship. Particularly with Isabela, those two bounce off of each other.
