Do you keep more playthrough side by side?

I love making new characters, but I am currently forcing myself to finish one playthrough before I start with a new character.

Do you also complete a playthrough before starting with a new character, or do you keep and play more than one side by side?

Do you use the same world state (your canon one) for all playthroughs, or did you try different things?

Have you decided yet what will be your canon Inquisitor and playthrough?

It depends on my mood. I have a Qunquisitor that I'm running side by side to my latest pro-Circle Silver Spoon mage. I like the mage - he believes the Chantry needs to change but is too privileged to really see its issues.

I've to admit that I'm absolutely waiting to see what happens (if anything happens) with the well of sorrows choice before stablishing a definitive canon, because I don't feel strongly about it but I do fear the consequences  :P  Other than that, yes, I think I already have a canon:

Spoiler

And I could never have two pt going at the same time. never. Like I never read two book at the same time, or watch to shows at the same time, etc.

I finish the game before starting any new playthroughs but I might return to the old saves for completionist reasons.

I've like to vary the world state used but I do have a canon one.

I'm honestly not sure if I'll be able to settle on a canon inquisitor though, I'm incredibly fond of all three I've completed.

I usually finish a playthrough off before concentrating fully on a new one. Currently finishing up playthrough 2 of 5 myself......  (THIS IS MY LIFE NOW)

I believe my very last playthrough will be my Nightmare, canon, platinum run though.

I set up most of my Origins / DA2 saves in the keep and created six characters, two of each class.  All are at least to the point where they have woken up in Haven after closing the rift.  I am concurrently running three main ones slowly through everything.  Actually thinking of stopping all but Pallandro right now and running him through everything before I got back to any others.  If, in the fullness of time, I ever get around to it, I still have I think three old Origins saves that I've not set up in the Keep yet.  Either way, I think I am set until DA4 comes out!

Luthien - Female elf rogue (bow)

Pallandro - Male human mage

Earwyn - Female human rogue (DW)

Dain - Male dwarf two-handed warrior

Dis - Female dwarf weapon and shield warrior

Verana - Female Qunari mage.  Using default world state as I had no origins Qunari character to match her up with.

I have in every other Bioware game except 2, but this one just doesn't draw me in enough.

Um... both?    I will make a dozen characters getting each one to haven or even Skyhold... then start a new one.    Eventually I come across the character that I am not growing bored with their combat style, the way they look, or some guilty choices I made with them.   For those few, I will usually carry them on to the end of the game.

I have completed the game twice so far and have probably made 50 characters.

My male elf mage made the first run. Normally a female human rogue goes next, but I couldn't resist rolling an elven female spirit mage after the epilogue. Will switch between those two for awhile.

I play one character at a time. I do, however, keep many saves for every playthrough so that I can return later to revisit my decisions and class- and race-dependent elements.

I have one "personal canon" Inquisitor. Maelyn Trevelyan, non-Andrastian human mage (Knight Enchanter), allied with mages, Celene rules alone, Wardens allied, Inquisition rules through the Secrecy branch, Iron Bull leaves the Qun, Cole becomes more human (liable to change), Cassandra becomes Divine, Cullen stops taking lyrium, Blackwall sent to the Wardens (liable to change). I will be refining her story through additional playthrough, and I'm absolutely torn about the Well of Sorrows, because it's about, well, I think it would not be inaccurate to say it's about the two things she values most: knowledge and her individual autonomy. To see them in conflict is really, really, *really* hard. So far I've not used the Well, but I don't know if I'll let that decision stand.

I play one character at a time, though sometimes I think about future playthroughs in my current one. I wish I didn't have a 60 save slot limit.

Just finished my first playthrough.  Very satisfied with this outcome. I'll move this entire save set to my backup drive and start again in a few days.  One character at a time for me.

lol I've got a ton of characters still in Haven so far I have actually only beaten the game with one character my male dwarven 2h warrior.  Though I am getting close with my human female rogue archer.  She still has to clean up the mess in Emprise du Lion before heading to the Arbor Wilds.

I only make one Inquisitor at a time. This is based on past experience with Origins, where often times poor Wardens would get left on the sides of roads as I made newer, shinier ones... :P

I do switch up the world states though. I like getting a chance to see everything, and part of what allows me to stay invested in my current Inquisitor is imagining how they'll react to the world. If I'm worried that my Inquisitor might not hold my interest, I give them a world that that's really screwed up or opposite their beliefs. Like making my Inquisitor pro mage when the warden and Hawke are templar people, or something.

Not really. I have 6 playthroughs but I've only dud the final story mission on one of them.

Um, I guess a bit of both?

I have my current PT but will have another one set off to the side so when I get to a certain point that I'm trying to complete more War Table missions before ending a PT I will jump over to the other character while I wait for some Table missions to finish.

I like to change my world state. But I will repeat a world state that I really like (like my canon)

Yes, I have a canon already. My male mage, Alec Trevelyan. Even though I didn't get to his PT until my 5th or 6th run

I always have more than one playthrough going on at the same time. At the moment, I have a Qunari Tempest rogue and a Human KE mage.

I only really play one playthrough at a time, but I've made numerous characters and gone through a bit of the prologue to see if they look right when talking and so on (or if they need to be remade in the CC and adjusted). I always create a load of characters though, in any game with a character creator. I'm still only nearing the end of my second full playthrough though and then it's on to the nightmare run before I put the game aside for a while and play other things.

I have 9 characters going. Only one of them is finished. One of them is in Skyhold, five still in Haven and two at the temple. I switch between them every now and again when I want a change of scenery.  But I just found out that the save files are lumped into one folder instead of separate folders for each character. Which is annoying since I like to revisit old characters once in a while and now I have to start manually sorting the saves. Separate save files was one of the reasons I really liked Bioware and now that's half gone...
I never have canon saves, I love them all. All of my inquisitors have their own Wardens and Hawkes, but the pairings might have been changed a little from the real playthroughs.

My first four playthroughs I played in succession. At the moment I have pt5 and 6 at the side. I won't be having much time to play as I just went into my last university semester. That I have played through the game 4 times already might be a bit too much on its own.

It irks me to no end to start a fresh playthrough if I've left one unfinished. I always finish any loose ends before embarking on something new.

Though I do share the sentiment of wanting to start a new character if I haven't finished the story with my current one.
