Possibly in my first play through, but in my second I used the guide and was looking for missions after everything.

I think that is the possibility that has everyone intrigued.  Since there are lots of theories about DA 4 based on codex entries (Seheron, mysterious pyramids, etc) I am starting to think that maybe they cut this one because it gave away too much, or made the "ones across the sea" seem to important?

Perhaps...they might be saving it for later in the series. Guess we'll find out :D

Them people across the sea my guess It is the Continent of Tamriel. (A awesome Crossover!)

Thanks, all, for the feedback.  It seems as if no one has gotten this quest, so I can happily finish my third play though without stressing I'd missed something.

Thanks!

What if the Kossith are like the Qunari except even more draconic, brutal and unfettered? Like, the followers of Kosslun left their homeland because they were pacifistic in comparison to their savage brethren? Thedas has been dreading a Qunari invasion, but a Kossith invasion could be ten times worse, especially for the Qunari.

I hope you are right, because that would be awesome.  If they DID cut the quest, I'm guessing that is why.  Since we all love obsess over details, they didn't want to tip the scales...

That would be neat to have Those Across the Sea actually be the Kossith. However, I don't think they'd be more draconic, but maybe more monarchist? Not sure it would matter, as it was so long ago for the Qunari, they forgot a lot during their exodus, the Kossith could have changed.

A game where the player is on Seheron, being a native and possible rebel, and then the Kossith invade and the player has to act would be fun. Ending could be an independent Seheron with more friendly ties with Tevinter, the Qunari, (the Kossith?,) or just defiantly independent with kicking the Qunari and Vints out with extreme prejudice.

Both Bull and Solas indicate that the Qunari are naturally a savage race, with the Qun functioning to counteract those natural impulses. It seems quite possible that the Kossith are just as savage, but perhaps have a society that embraces that.

On the subject of Kossith, I suspect that they're qunari without draconic blood. That would explain the difference in appearance.

Maybe.

I took it as meaning the Qunari, after becoming more draconic in some way, became more savage and different than the Kossith, so the Kossith drove them out, then the Qun came into the picture when the philosopher was trying to figure a way out to survive, and then they became the Qunari.

I don't see how the Qunari "had to leave" as Bull says if they were initially no different from the Kossith, and it sounds like the dragon stuff is something that came afterward.

Edit: Kieran (morrigan's son) commented on my qunari's blood which was interesting. He said he noticed my blood first, but was still a little surprised that I was qunari, which made me think the qunari are an altered species or something. Then again, maybe you are right that it is actually in reverse to what I said or something, which is why the Qunari like seeing Qunari without horns or something.

Or the Kossith could have even more draconic blood than the Qunari!

To me, it makes more sense that a religious cult, which is based on knowing your place and peaceful acceptance of the way things are, would be less likely to convert themselves into savage fighting machines rather than more likely. So maybe the Kossith society was transforming themselves into dragon people and the Qunari are the ones who chose to leave early on.

Ya, that is possible. I'm curious if leaving the Kossith came before or after the Qun. I can understand a religion having to leave their homeland to continue their practice, but I don't see how they could have forgotten that part then as it would have been an important part of being Qunari. The mystery of their past makes me think that maybe the Qun came after their exile.

You are making me think of Vulcans and Romulans.

Gift for Bianca gives you an upgrade for Varric's crossbow.  I had heard that there was a bug with the location of the mission, and in my second play through when I did a "mouse-over" (or the Xbox equivalent) it showed a second mission sharing the same space.  I did that one, but the first mission stayed there, completed, till the end of the game.

I am confused in general about why some missions disappear when does and others don't.  Not a huge issue, but it did get confusing at times.

Gifts for Bianca, I think requires the Keen Eyes perk.  Not 100% certain about this.

The Serault operations chain apparently depends on having played The Last Court before you imported your world state from the Keep. I have no words to express how annoying I find that, since I have no way to set the marker in my existing playthroughs. there's not even a DA Keep parameter for it that you can change yet.

I hate this. Really hate. They give us the DA Keep so we can adjust our world states and don't need to replay DAO for the umpteenth time to make a minor adjustment, and then make content dependent on a different game regardless.

Did I say I hate this?

Odd, I've only played The Last Court once, before DAI ever came out, but I got the chain for both of my Inquisitors' games.

Unless there's supposed to be more than the two missions?

Yeah Those Across The Sea i'm pretty sure are the Tevinter Venatori. I did this mission and chose Leliana to set up a false camp and caught an Antivan spy who commited suicide. Otherwise you can talk to a noble who says something about an Antivan.

But yeah nothing really comes of it.

That one always comes up, and early, then sits on my war table taunting me after it's completed.  The "Unmask" mission is one that is mentioned in my Prima guide, but seems to have been cut from the game.  It would be a follow up mission to that one, but it seems as if no one has gotten it, so likely cut.  Now we get to have the fun of theorizing why...

Hey guys, I was just curious about this one because it seemed cool and realized it's probably something that was fixed by patch 5! I'm only on my first playthrough but I'm level 23 and the chalk mission just spawned today, followed by "unmask those across the sea." Two results depending on who you pick to perform the operation, but both are super interesting.

Give spoilers! I probably won't remember to check when I get home. x_x

I think that Patch 5 must have fixed this, because after the update I revisited all of my previous Inquisitors and that mission was sitting on every single War Table; so I did it (Leliana is the advisor to use).

I wonder if this ties into an upcoming Inquisition dlc or perhaps even sets up the next game?

Well this is pretty much the info you need: http://dragonage.wik.../wiki/Executorsand yeah definitely use leliana; this is a prime example of expediency not always being the best choice.

I think there is a wee problem with this still on my game (I'm the repository of all bugs great and small: no Travelyan quests, no Tantervale quests, no banter, no music..etc) . I seemed to get it after chalk markings mission on one character, but not on two others (need to check the rest). So there is still something a bit buggered but overall it seems to have been fixed :) I am delighted to finally see the outcome of this though- even on one character only.

There is a follow up mission to the chalk marking. i know for a fact because right now I have it ticking down.

You have to investigate who "Those Across the Sea" may be. I'm Lvl 22 and just finished The temple of Mythal so it seems its a late game Operation. or the Update fixed it.

Also I totally think its the Kossith, We found out a lot about the Original kossith and how the Qunari had to break away from them, so i think the Ox-men had a very different reason for invading Par-Vollen rather than just, "YO. this place is ours now B. Cool."

"

Update fixed this quest among the others (Diverting Soldiers in the Frostbacks was another one)

As for what it comes to the order I cannot remember. I only know that the three characters I logged in yesterday (lvl24 all finished game) were in the same spot in the war table- I did the operations in all- with the same advisors, and only one of them got the Unmask one. :)

Also noticed this mission on the war table after I was able to download the newest patch today. Very intriguing! I wonder if it's there as a little hint about the conflict of the 4th game.
