Has anyone updated to patch 5? Are the tools still working fine? As usual I'll hold off a day or two, if for no other reason than to let the servers die down a bit -- they're always a mess on patch day!

I've been holding off too -- both for that and because a lot of the mods aren't working with the new patch/mod manager it appears. So I dunno either =/

I'm up and running on the new patch and all seems fine. There's a new tweak to get mods working, but nothing huge. 

 

If anything, my load times are reduced greatly. And OMG armor tinting! Where was that from the beginning!

Patch 5 is ok for me too. Didn't encountered any problem with the cinematic tool since updating.

I like the tinting but I am still working on getting my mods back online.  I only use 2 but I hate the PJs and the sideburns.....

 

Took a few shots in the Western Approach this evening.

I've updated and so far have no problems with Cinematic Tools or SweetFX.

How to run mods with Patch 5: (UPDATED)

1) Copy the patch 5 folder you just got to “Vanillapatch” or whatever name you want

2) Delete 'Patch.daimod' from the modmanager v0.48a folder. (Skip if it's your first time modding) - IMPORTANT STEP - DO NOT MISS THIS

3) Use ModManager version 0.48 to merge your mods again. Save the modded merge to a folder named “Merged” or whatever else you liked

4) Rename the folder named “Patch” to “PatchV”

5) Rename the folder named “Merged” you made on step 3 to “Patch”

6) Start the game

6a) You can delete the folder “PatchV” or leave it there. Keep “Vanillapatch”, You will need “Vanillapatch” if you want to merge more mods

7) to merge new mods: Delete the folder named “Patch” and make a copy of “Vanillapatch” named “Patch”. Run steps 3-6 again.

I run a few more than 2 and have only run into 1 issue with tinting a modded armor.

 

You might want to check your graphic settings.

Mesh and Shader settings are now seperate.

 

Also, there is now a setting to allow the Tactical cam to zoom much further out.  way cool.

I changed my SweetFX preset to Dro's Summer in Ferelden and I am liking it in The Hinterlands.  Warm and Bright.

The only thing I would like to change is to make the light rays less white and more golden.  Is that bloom?

Love your new preset! It is pretty nice.

I manipulate bloom colour via the cinematic tools in Visuals/Tonemap/Bloom Scale - I add a little yellow tint.

Thanks for the input about patch 5. I updated yesterday anyway, everything is fine. I didn't realise there was a tac-cam slider - I'll hunt that down later! It was quite a shock seeing the game before I changed the shader slider ^^

Did you try to run it as Administrator? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but that thing works for me only if I run it in Administrator mode, and had no issue to get my mods running.

There's a new version out - v0.48 - have you tried that? In order for me to get it to run I had to completely remove all files from the previous version. Of course, it also has to be run as administrator.
