Congratulations for the first Flycam shot, I like it! 

 

I don't think you need to be embarassed. As you said, everybody has to start somewhere. And DAI Tools needs a LOT of practice - at least for me, as I am a beginner when it comes to photography. But I think I have been able improve my skills a bit, thanks to the helpful people here.

@drake2511:  Love those western approach shots especially the skeleton in the sun.  That's where I have been spending my time also.

 

Dealt with the High dragon last night.  Took some shots and Sera needs to be part of course.  Blackwall also gets one too.

I really like the way the wolf statue is framed. As for SweetFX, I use this one that MelissaGT turned me onto. I have to use RadeonPro to get it to work so I don't tweak it at all cause it's too much hassle.

 

@Rannah: Sera's just really photogenic, like Vivienne imo. Love your shot of her

 

I haven't taken a lot of screens lately. Someone said my rogue looks like a Jedi here (which, I approve! ) Just sad the hood is so low-rez.

I used DAI Cinematic tools to distort the bloom.

SweetFX preset-Tek's preset and DAI Cinematic tools freecam.  The great thing about game screenshots as apposed to rl photography, is I didn't have to get wet waiting for the lightning.

I am using the same FX that Sarielle linked (altough it has been tweaked to the hell by now, so it became custom), via RadeonPro (NVidia card here) + DAI C Tools.

 

@ Sarielle: glorious Jedi! (have to try that blue light! *me looks envy*  )

I'm still using this one as well, though I have custom-tweaked the SMAA and LumaSharpen settings. I also use RadeonPro, so I pretty much just "set and forget" the SFX settings because it's too much hassle to have to exit the game and reload each time you want to tweak settings. What I have seems to be a very nice "all around" preset for everything, especially portraits (since you guys know I love them so much). I don't worry too much about color/contrast/etc via SFX as I can play til my heart's desire with those via DAI Cinematic tools. The preset that Sarielle linked is a very nice starting point as it "cleans" up the vanilla colors/contrast very nicely to give you a "clean slate" of sorts to tweak from with DAI Cinematic Tools. The biggest plus is that it gets rid of the nasty haze over everything with the vanilla game as well as uber red tones.
