Shamelessly stealing this for my wallpaper.
Glad you like it. It's probably my favourite shot of the game so far, and I took it before I started hotsampling or messing with colours in dai cinematic tools.

Wonderful pictures all of them!
I don't have much (and not half as beautiful as the above ones), but hope you will like them:

Very nice, Rannah. I particularly like the lighting and framing of the portrait.

Thank you very much! I have to admit that there are only minor changes to the original effects.
This is just wonderful. Hope you don't mind if I use it as my background.I have a screenshot of Cradle of Sulevin
already, but seeing yours I don't think I could do any better.
Just for reference:
No I don't mind at all. I liked the place well enough with its regular processing, but I wanted to create the impression of somewhere more magical, lost to time. Thankfully that's easy to do with DAI Cinematic Tools.
I have a small handful of others from that ruin in my DAI flickr album.
I'm not usually one for screenarchery as you guys call it. I don't use flycam or cinematic tools or anything, but I think this shot came out quite photographic. I think it is beautiful. The only mod I'm using is SweetFX.

A couple of Suledin Keep.

and a quick question. I've been trying to take some action shots but I cant figure out how to get rid of the selection ring under the characters. As soon as I pause via the tactical camera the damn rings appear. does anyone know how to turn them off?

They can be modded out, but share texture with the loot-pinging circle afaik.

I believe actually pausing the game, and not using tactical cam will work...provided you have flycam.

As Melissa said. With DAI Cinematic Tools, you can easily hide the UI. And check if the mouse does not point to any character on the picture. (had this issue earlier as well).
Thanks all. I finally looked at my key bindings and found the pause button. D'oh.
This is my first attempt to edit the lightning effects a little more. Any feedback is welcome ![]()

Unintentionally took a screenshot while in tactical camera. It amuses me more than it should.

I like the two-toned effect on his face - the Character Lighting controls can be quite good for that kind of thing.
In terms of composition, I'd have had his face further to the left of the screen - all that focus on the side of his face is dead space, really. If he was against an interesting backdrop that makes nice shapes and colours when blurred, and was positioned more to the left of the frame and possibly with the camera turned slightly more to the front of his face, I think it would have been a stronger picture - but that's always subjective. For the most part, portraits generally look best if there is space for the subject to be looking into*, if you see what I mean. So if they are looking to the right, like Cullen is, they should be positioned to the left of the frame, to give context to where they are looking. Of course, rules can be broken if there is a good reason for them to be broken.
*this is the same rule if you want to create a sense of movement in an image: say you are taking a picture of someone riding on a horse, from left to right - if you position them too close to the right you're giving them no space to 'move' into - they've already travelled where they are going, instead of giving the impression of travelling. Again, this is a rule that can be broken, but the rule needs to be understood first so you can gauge whether breaking it helps create an even more interesting effect or not.
Thank you very much for your detailed answer, catabuca. I highly appreciate your advice and I see your point.
There is so much to learn..hopefully I can improve the quality of future shots..
"Yuck... rain and rotting flesh."

"Oh... that be a dragon!"

Enjoying the scenery.

(I'm posting slightly smaller shots so that they don't eat bandwidth and so they can be seen without having to scroll too much; full sizes can be seen on my flickr account linked in my sig.)

(As you might be able to tell, I'm getting closer to finishing my first run. I'm currently saved right before talking to our old dragon-witch pal ^ up there.)
catabuca, that first shot of Solas is so beautifully framed with the poppies in the foreground. Lovely.
MelissaGT, your inquisitor is gorgeous. I could never get the makeup to look so good.
A couple of shots from The Exalted Plains.

Thank you, FenPhile.
Well done taking good shots of that Elven puzzle room. I tried for ages, and found it really difficult to get a good position. Those are nice pictures!
Not quite good and not used at playing with blurs and all other photographic effects with DAI tool >.< but here are a few mine that I loved :

(psssh that blood splat, wish I could get rid of it so it would be perfect!)
