So has anybody on the latest patch been able to confirm what I heard? DAI Cinematic Tools no longer works? What about WBG?

@ MelissaGT :  I didn't even try wbg when I was on patch 8. Too much disappointed... but daimodder on tumblr made my day so I was able to revert to patch 7.

Well we know that DAI Cinematic Tools is still broken. I guess a new version was released today, but it causes a CTD when you hit the "delete" key to toggle the HUD. Hopefully they will keep working on it. I'm going to hold off updating till all issues have been resolved.

I did some testing and also found that the new version of the DAI Cinematic Tools is not backwards compatible, so the fix they had to do broke the new version from working with Patch 6/7. Which, once everything's updated, will be fine. But right now with a mix of people on Patch 8 and Patch 7, it's a bit higgledy piggledy.

So the 4/1/2015 version: Patch 6/7
The 7/9/2015 version: Patch 8, crashes with DEL

I'll use the console method for now, but hopefully they'll be as responsive to fix the DEL key bug as they were to update to Patch 8.

And since I'm here, I'll post the only pictures I've really taken recently, of my final version of my canon Inquisitor (seriously, it took WAY too long to finish him).





Those are the low-res versions, since for some reason, BSN won't let me link from Google Photos (or I'm an idiot and just don't know how to, just as likely). Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to actually play again soon and not do just snippets here and there.

I just read on Tumblr that the new Cinematic tool (made for patch 8) can pause cutscenes??!! Is this true? because if so, OMG!

Yes, cutscenes can now be paused! Also, there's a new version of Mod Manager that works with Patch 8.

I grabbed the sweat mod just for these shots. The vanilla textures just didn't have the same "oomph" for an artistic nude shot. The sweat is just a little too much for regular gameplay though.

This is so true   But for this one purpose, this mod is just perfect!

I ran into an interesting bug while abusing the time-freeze option. Skyhold will never see sunlight if the "Journey to Skyhold" cutscene's been paused for too long.

 

I love the Red Lyrium Dragon but it mostly appears in cutscenes. Thank goodness we have a time freeze option now!

I just stumbled across this thread. These screenshots are truly amazing. I have a pretty decent system but don't use anything other than cinematic tools because I fear lag but seeing these makes me want to risk it.

Oh, ya'll have such amazing shots. I have so many shots that I get so overwhelmed (my husband isn't happy that he is going to have to build another home server because my gaming stuff is taking up the old one. )  at the thought of going through them, but I do have a couple I want to share from one of my early play throughs.
